Lost by Carrie Aarons

Captive Heart, Book 1

Synopsis: We knew each other a lifetime ago. And then…

We lost childhoods. We lost opportunities. We lost love.

Fate is giving us another chance. But a chance at what?

Because even though we’ve been brought back to each other under the worst of circumstances…

We are still. So. Damn. Lost.

Review: I liked the Carrie Aarons series I discovered not long ago, and I was curious to discover another one of her writings. The release of the complete Captive Heart duology perfectly allowed me to do so.

Tucker and Charlotte have known each other since they were little, yet life has separated them and not in the best possible way. But while Charlotte now works in a bank, she doesn’t expect to be robbed and kidnapped by this man she knew so well in the past and loved more than anything. But he has changed, he is no longer the man he was and she will do everything to help him.

I had a good time with the book. The story is quite incongruous I must say and quite unlikely credible, but I had a good time with our two heroes. The author allows us to move from one to the other while offering us chapters on their past in order to understand exactly what happened. Tucker and Charlotte will finally be able to discuss and try to move forward from their past, even if the situation is not ideal. And what about this end? I’m glad to have the rest to find out how they’re going to manage!
