Review: I had really liked the first volume and I was curious to start this second book to discover Tobias, Gabriel’s brother.

As each volume follows a different member of the family, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Raven and Gabriel are also present in the story and I really enjoyed it. In fact, some chapters are only from their point of view. Of course, this volume follows the intrigue of the first volume and that was also very nice, because everything is connected.

Tobias is a renowned pediatric cardiac doctor and he decided a long time ago to live like a human to blend in. But everything changed when Gabriel called him for help and while he thought all this was behind him, his brother and Raven showed up in Chicago. On top of that, he will discover that Sabina, the charming nurse he works with, is finally much more than that, that she’s a human-vampire hybrid that could well turn his whole world upside down!

I really liked Sabrina, this young woman with a sharp mind who always thinks of her own whatever the circumstances. Yes, it was a very good second novel and I can’t wait to discover Rowan’s story now and of course, to find all the characters again. Many dangers are introduced in this novel and I wonder how our characters will cope with them! It’s really not going to be easy!

Mais lorsque la magie s’avère être le seul moyen de sauver un enfant auquel il s’est attaché, il est tenté de renouer avec son passé et de faire appel au dragon qui sommeille en lui.

En tant qu’hybride vampire-humaine, Sabrina a l’habitude d’être différente du reste de sa communauté. Mais comme les vampires, elle doit se nourrir. Le soir où elle choisit Tobias comme repas, tout bascule. Les apparences sont trompeuses. Choisir Tobias comme repas n’était peut-être pas une bonne idée, surtout que les apparences sont trompeuses et qu’il n’est pas ce qu’il prétend.

Rien de mieux qu’un monstre pour comprendre un autre monstre.

Un baiser pousse Tobias dans le monde souterrain des vampires de Chicago, où de multiples dangers les guettent, lui et Sabrina. Pour survivre, ils devront faire des choix difficiles. Seront-ils alliés ou ennemis ?

Un prince dragon. Une héritière vampire. Un baiser dont les conséquences pourraient être cataclysmiques.

Résumé : J’avais vraiment beaucoup aimé le premier tome et j’étais curieuse de me lancer dans ce second tome et de découvrir Tobias, le frère de Gabriel.

Comme chaque tome suit un membre différent de la famille, je ne savais pas trop à quoi m’attendre, mais Raven et Gabriel sont aussi au centre de la trame et j’ai beaucoup apprécié ça. D’ailleurs, certains chapitres sont uniquement de leur point de vue. Bien sûr, ce tome suit la trame du premier tome et ça aussi, c’était très agréable, car tout est lié.

Tobias est une médecin pédiatrique cardiaque renommé et il a décidé depuis longtemps de vivre comme un humain pour se fondre dans la masse. Mais tout a changé quand Gabriel l’a appelé pour l’aider et alors qu’il pensait tout cela derrière lui, son frère et Raven se présentent à Chicago. En plus de cela, il va découvrir que Sabina, la charmante infirmière avec qui il travaille, est finalement bien plus que ça, que c’est une hybride humaine-vampire qui pourrait bien bouleverser tout son univers !

J’ai beaucoup aimé Sabrina, cette jeune femme à l’esprit vif et qui, pourtant, pense toujours aux siens quelles que soient les circonstances. Oui, c’était un très bon second roman et j’ai hâte de découvrir l’histoire de Rowan à présent et bien sûr, de retrouver tous les personnages. De nombreux dangers sont initiés dans ce roman et je me demande comment nos personnages vont y faire face ! Ca ne sera vraiment pas facile !

Review: I really enjoyed the novels I read by Cassie Alexander, so when I saw that she was releasing a new series written in conjunction with Kara Lockharte whom I didn’t know yet about, I must admit that I was curious.

Andi is a nurse, but she has debts that she has to pay back so she is looking for new opportunities. When she is offered a night’s work in exchange for a large sum of money, she doesn’t hesitate for long. And if she is not allowed to ask questions, it is difficult for her when she arrives at the billionaire’s home. Indeed, Damian Blackwood seems to hide many secrets, including his nature as a dragon.

It was a nice paranormal romance novel. The relationship between Damian and Andi is not necessarily very simple, but it was nice to follow them. Besides, how can you resist the dragons? Impossible, right?

Damian lui sauve la vie et la tire des griffes d’un monstre, et elle ne peut oublier ce qu’elle a vu : elle ne peut oublier son physique de super-héros fou, ni la façon affamée dont il la regarde comme si elle était un trésor inestimable à posséder, et certainement pas le fait qu’il ait une seconde moitié. Mais, c’est aussi un honnête dragon.

Andi connaît le secret du métamorphe dragon et il est loin d’être content.

Après une nuit de monstres et de chaos, il la ramène chez elle dans sa voiture de sport de luxe et….lui demande un rendez-vous.

Le costume très cher et bien taillé ne peut pas cacher le feu dans ses yeux ou son sourire sauvage.

Elle doit refuser.

Et si elle dit oui ?

Avis : J’ai beaucoup apprécié les romans que j’ai lu de Cassie Alexander, alors quand j’ai vu qu’elle sortait une nouvelle série écrite conjointement avec Kara Lockharte que je ne connaissais pas encore, je dois avouer que j’étais curieuse.

Andi est infirmière, mais elle a des dettes qu’elle a doit rembourser alors elle est à l’affut de nouvelles opportunités. Quand on lui propose une nuit de travail en échange d’une grosse somme d’argent, elle n’hésite pas longtemps. Et si elle n’a pas le droit de poser de questions, c’est difficile pour elle quand elle arrive dans la demeure du milliardaire. En effet, Damian Blackwood semble cacher de nombreux secret, et notamment sa nature de dragon.

C’était un roman de romance paranormale agréable à lire. La relation entre Damian et Andi n’est pas forcément très simple, mais c’était sympa de les suivre. Et puis, comment résister aux dragons ? Impossible, non ?

He doesn’t want to waste his time with a woman who doesn’t know anything about magic or the magical world, but soon the beguiling Kristin draws him away from his books and into her life.

But before Kristin can hone her skills and pass the tests necessary to fully claim her powers, she and Tennyson must work together to defend the world – both magical and human – against those that would claim her powers for their own.

Review: I had this novel for a long time, but it took me years to finally get into the story.

Kristin is a human who never really believed in magic. So when her aunts tell her that they are fairy godmothers, and that she is supposed to become one too, she doesn’t believe it! And yet, with her aunts away on a trip, our heroine will have to face not only her new powers, but also Tennyson Ritter, who has come to arbitrate her transformation. But our hero has no desire to teach her what magic is! Sexy, but also unbearable, Kristin will have to manage him without falling under his spell. If there was only that to manage, but it seems that magic attacks are taking place and that someone is taking advantage of the transition to take advantage of the lack of balance of magic.

It was a pretty cool paranormal romance novel. Our two heroes are a pleasure to discover, I was curious to see how things were going to turn out. I loved Callie, Zack, and Jake who bring a nice touch of freshness to the story. It was a light novel to have a good time with a heroine who discovers a world in which she is not at all comfortable. There are three volumes, one for each godmother, and I’ll be quite curious to see how it turns out, although I’ve seen that some readers say that each volume can be read separately.

Avis : J’avais ce roman depuis bien longtemps, mais c’est vrai qu’il m’aura fallu des années pour finalement me plonger dans l’histoire.

Kristin est une humaine qui n’a jamais vraiment cru à la magie. Alors quand ses tantes lui annoncent qu’elles sont des marraines fées, et qu’elle est censée en devenir elle aussi une, elle n’y croit pas ! Et pourtant, ses tantes parties en voyages, notre héroïne va devoir faire face à ses nouveaux pouvoirs, mais aussi à Tennyson Ritter venu arbitrer sa transformation. Mais voilà, notre héros n’a aucune envie de lui apprendre ce qu’est la magie ! Sexy, mais aussi insupportable, Kristin va devoir le gérer sans tomber sous son charme. S’il n’y avait encore que ça à gérer, mais il semblerait que des attaques magiques aient lieu et que quelqu’un profite de la transition pour profiter du manque de balance de la magie.

C’était un roman de romance paranormal assez sympa. Nos deux héros sont un plaisir à découvrir, j’étais curieuse de voir comment les choses allaient se dérouler. J’ai adoré Callie, Zack, et Jake qui apportent une belle touche de fraicheur à l’histoire. C’était un roman léger pour passer un bon moment avec une héroïne qui découvre un monde dans lequel elle n’est pas du tout à l’aise. Il y a trois tomes, un pour chaque marraine et je serai assez curieuse de voir ce que ça donne, même si j’ai vu que certains lecteurs disaient que chaque tome peut se lire séparément.

Review: I am not a big paranormal romance reader, but when I discovered this title, I must say that I was curious. It must be said that in addition, I had stumbled upon some rather complimentary reviews that only reinforced my desire to discover this first volume.

Gabriel is under a terrible curse from a voodoo priestess and if he doesn’t accept her blackmail quickly, he could well disappear forever. Determined to counter all this, he seeks by all means to destroy the curse that weighs on him. His last hope is on Raven, even if he doesn’t know what she can do for him. The young woman is about to die from brain cancer and Gabriel’s arrival and his magic allows her to live, but with a promise to work for him. Yet it is only exchanging one cage for another and it is something she cannot accept. As she tries to understand who she is, what she can do and how she feels about Gabriel, our heroine will also face many dangers.

It was a very nice novel. The mix of dragons and voodoo was really well done and I loved learning more about both worlds of our heroes. A main plot is launched, and I’m curious to see how things will turn out. Like all paranormal romances, the romance is quite fast, but it didn’t bother me too much and of course, we have a couple for each volume, corresponding to Gabriel’s brothers and sisters. So yes, after discovering Tobias here, I can’t wait to read his story!
