Synopsis: Eleven years ago, Lindsey Nash escaped into the night with her young daughter and left an abusive relationship. Her ex-husband, Andrew, was sent to jail and Lindsey started over with a new life.
Now, Lindsey is older and wiser, with her own business and a teenage daughter who needs her more than ever. When Andrew is finally released from prison, Lindsey believes she has cut all ties and left the past behind her. But she gets the sense that someone is watching her, tracking her every move. Her new boyfriend is threatened. Her home is invaded, and her daughter is shadowed. Lindsey is convinced it’s her ex-husband, even though he claims he’s a different person. But has he really changed? Is the one who wants her dead closer to home than she thought?
Review: This is a novel whose synopsis really intrigued me and I was very curious to get into the story. In the end it was a very good surprise because I had a hard time dropping the book before I finished it. I couldn’t wait to find out who the culprit was.
When Lindsey got married, everything was perfect. Really perfect. And then her husband changed, he became violent, jealous and possessive. Leaving him? She tried, but it’s not that simple… If it was just her… but there is also her daughter. If we follow certain moments of her life at that time, we also find her 10 years later, when her ex-husband was released from prison. His return coincides with events that will change Lindsey’s life. How to prevent him from coming back into their lives and, above all, from terrorizing them?
I was very curious to see how all this story was going to end, especially with this stressful atmosphere and I must say that I was surprised a few times by the turnarounds.
The author offers us a good thriller, and I’m curious to try another book by the author!
