Review: Well I did it, yes I am weak! I read the first two books in French and it’s been a while since I expected the release of the third novel. But it seems that it’s compromised… but well I still hope that the other readers will have the opportunity to experience the final book in this trilogy one day.

Bobbie Faye is engaged to Trevor and everything happens for the best. Indeed, they have already bought a house, he cares for her and does everything to make her happy. But there is a downside and Bobbie is always full of nightmares after the events of volume 2, and she is struggling to recover from all that. But everything will change when early in the book, Trevor finds himself with a mission he gives no details about. A mission that should last only three days max and, before leaving, our FBI agent is nice enough to leave a gift to Bobbie, a beautiful bodyguard who also has the function as a babysitter. And you suspect it, it is not at all, but not at all to the taste of our heroine. Especially as this character is more than annoying in all circumstances. As a bonus, he hates her, which does not help the situation either. And after 7 days, as they still don’t have any news, our disastrous duo decides to understand what is happening and to investigate the Trevor’s disappearance. Okay this is Bobbie who decided it and Riley has no other choice but to follow her, but still! And of course, who is the only person to whom she turns to for help? I’ll give you a thousand: Cam! He has however only one thing in mind, to make our heroine understand that she is not made for Trevor as he is the only one who can suit her perfectly. I must say that this is something quite comical to see especially when the two men are in the same room. To all this, a vengeful Sean is added and he would do anything to hurt Bobbie and Trevor after what they did to him. We also learn much more about our FBI agent and his history, things that even our heroine did not know about.

It was a new good book and a pretty good end, but it’s true that I would have liked another sequel. We wonder throughout the novel who our heroine will choose for her life and it is true that it is a difficult decision. I confess that I would like a relationship with both to see the differences. It’s a kind of Stephanie Plum book with a Ranger and a Morelli … but it is difficult to see her choose as we would like her to stay with the two throughout the novels. But no, here our heroine chooses the one she really wants to keep even if the other is far from accepting the decision. Apart from this, we also attend many disasters because when Bobbie Faye is there, they are everywhere. It was very funny to follow her but also quite sad to see how she ends up. All the characters we know are here, participating directly or indirectly in all the events of the story.

To conclude, it was a happy ending even if it is true that I would have liked something different (maybe). I wonder if one day we will have something more, I would love that.

Vu ce qu’il se passe, Bobbie Faye pourrait bien avoir besoin d’un peu d’aide supplémentaire. L’homme qu’elle a aidé à mettre derrière les barreaux, le meurtrier Sean MacGreggor, s’est échappé de prison … et cherche à se venger. Sans nouvelles de Trevor- dont l’absence ne devait durer que trois jours, Bobbie Faye se tourne à contrecœur vers son ex-petit ami, le détective Cam. Il est prêt à faire tout ce qu’il faut pour protéger Bobbie Faye … aussi longtemps que Trevor reste en dehors du tableau. Pour de bon.

Avis : Bon voilà j’ai craqué, oui je suis faible ! J’avais lu les deux premiers tomes en Français et ça fait déjà quelques temps que j’attendais la sortie de ce troisième. Mais elle a eu l’air finalement plus que compromise… alors bon j’espère quand même que les autres lecteurs auront l’occasion de découvrir le dernier tome de cette trilogie un jour.

Bobbie Faye est fiancée à Trevor et tout se passe pour le mieux entre eux. En effet, ils ont déjà acheté une maison, il s’occupe d’elle et fait tout pour la rendre heureuse. Mais il y a une ombre au tableau et Bobbie est toujours pleine de cauchemars après les événements du tome 2, et a du mal à s’en remettre. Mais tout va changer quand dès le début du livre, Trevor se retrouve avec une mission dont il ne donne aucun détail. Une mission qui ne devrait durer que trois jours grand max et avant de partir, notre agent du FBI est assez gentil pour laisser un cadeau à Bobbie, un très joli garde du corps qui a aussi fonction de baby-sitter. Et vous vous doutez que ce n’est pas du tout mais alors pas du tout du goût de notre héroïne. Surtout qu’il faut dire que ce personnage est plus qu’exaspérant, en toutes circonstances. En prime, il la déteste, ce qui n’arrange pas non plus la situation. Et au bout de 7 jours, n’ayant tous les deux aucune nouvelle, notre duo catastrophique décide de comprendre ce qu’il se passe et d’enquêter sur cette disparition. Bon d’accord c’est Bobbie qui le décide et Riley n’a d’autre choix que de suivre mais quand même ! Et quelle est la seule personne vers qui elle se tourne pour avoir de l’aide ? Je vous le donne en mille : Cam ! Il n’a cependant qu’une seule idée en tête, faire comprendre à notre héroïne qu’elle n’est pas faite pour Trevor mais qu’il est le seul qui peut lui convenir parfaitement. Il faut dire que c’est quelque chose d’assez comique à voir surtout quand les deux hommes sont dans la même pièce. A tout cela s’ajoute un Sean en quête de vengeance et qui ferait tout pour blesser Trevor et Bobbie après ce qu’ils lui ont fait. On en apprendra aussi beaucoup plus sur notre agent du FBI et son histoire, des choses que même notre héroïne ne connaissait pas.

C’était un nouveau bon roman et une assez bonne fin mais c’est vrai que j’aurais bien aimé une autre suite. On se demande tout au long du roman qui notre héroïne choisira pour rester dans sa vie et c’est vrai que c’est une décision assez difficile. J’avoue que j’aurais aimé qu’elle essaie vraiment une relation avec chacun. Je pense que c’est un peu un livre à la Stephanie Plum avec Ranger et Morelli… il est difficile de la voir choisir un des deux et on aimerait qu’elle reste avec les deux tout au long des romans. Mais non, ici notre héroïne choisit réellement lequel elle veut garder même si celui qui reste est loin d’accepter la décision. En dehors de cela, on assistera aussi à de nombreuses catastrophes, car quand Bobbie Faye est là, elles sont omniprésentes. C’était très drôle de la suivre mais aussi assez triste de voir dans quel état elle se trouve. Tous les personnages sont aux rendez-vous, participant de près ou de loin à tous les événements de l’histoire.

C’était donc un joli final même si c’est vrai que j’aurais aimé peut-être quelque chose de différent. Je me demande si un jour on aura quelque chose de plus, j’aimerais beaucoup ça.
