Poisoned, the authorities assume her death was suicide. But after a malicious series of pranks and blackmail attempts are reported, WPC Loveday and Coroner Clement Ryder are called upon to solve the case.

In an atmosphere of fierce competition, the list of suspects is endless. Could what have started as harmless fun become a deadly race to win the prize?

With time running out, the duo need to spot the killer before tragedy strikes again…

Review: I really liked the first two novels and I was curious to get into this brand new story!

Trudy has returned to her daily routine, but when her childhood friend asks her for help after the death of a contestant in a beauty pageant that she helps to organise, our heroine finds herself back in an investigation as she loves them. Fortunately for her, she is always accompanied by Dr. Clement Ryder. But this time, she will be all the more in the spotlight as she is going on an undercover assignment! This is how she will become a candidate to become Miss Honey! Perhaps she will be able to find out what goes on behind the scenes of this beauty pageant.

I had a great time with this story. It’s always a pleasure to follow Trudy, especially in a situation where we usually don’t see much of her. She will make discoveries and will have to make choices that will determine what happens next. In fact, now I’m very, very curious to see what happens next!

A very nice series!
