Otherworld Nights: An Anthology (Otherworld Stories, 3) – Kelley Armstrong

Rare and never-before published short stories featuring fan favorites from the New York Times bestselling series

It’s been more than ten years since Kelley Armstrong began the Otherworld series and drew legions of fans to a realm roamed by witches, werewolves, necromancers, vampires, and half-demons. Many of the novels have become bestselling favorites, but not all of the Otherworld adventures have been easy to find. At last, Otherworld Nights shares short stories that have previously been available only online or in obscure collections. Fans have long been clamoring for this anthology and they won’t be disappointed—they’ll find plenty of surprises are in store.

Black Magic Sanction (The Hollows, 8) – Kim Harrison

In New York Times bestselling author Kim Harrison’s most complex and nuanced adventure yet, bounty hunter and witch Rachel Morgan fights a deadly battle – mind, body, and soul.

Black Magic Sanction

Rachel Morgan has fought and hunted vampires, werewolves, banshees, demons, and other supernatural dangers as both witch and bounty hunter – and lived to tell the tale. But she’s never faced off against her own kind…until now. Denounced and shunned for dealing with demons and black magic, her best hope is life imprisonment – at worst, a forced lobotomy and genetic slavery. Only her enemies are strong enough to help her win her freedom, but trust comes hard when it hinges on the unscrupulous tycoon Trent Kalamack, the demon Algaliarept, and an ex-boyfriend turned thief.

It takes a witch to catch a witch, but survival bears a heavy price.

Witch Apon a Star (A Midnight Magic Mystery, 3) – Jennifer Harlow

He’s come for me. My savior, my heart, and ultimately, my devil.

As a child, Anna Olmstead is rescued from her life of poverty and drugs by a vampire named Asher. Over the years, she grows to love Asher, first as a father and later as a lover. But soon trouble interrupts her once-perfect life. While Anna wants to settle down, Asher wants a more voyeuristic, party-driven lifestyle.

When Anna leaves him, Asher does everything he can to bring her back to him–including murder. Even as she finally escapes and starts a new life with a special agent of the F.R.E.A.K.S., Asher makes a new move to kidnap Anna and her children. This time, she may not be able to escape him.

A Ghostly Undertaking (Ghostly Southern Mysteries, 1) – Tonya Kappes

A funeral, a ghost, a murder…it’s all in a day’s work for Emma Lee Raines…

Bopped on the head from a falling plastic Santa, local undertaker Emma Lee Raines is told she’s suffering from “funeral trauma.” It’s trauma all right, because the not so dearly departed keep talking to her. Take Ruthie Sue Payne–innkeeper, gossip queen, and arch-nemesis of Emma Lee’s granny—she’s adamant that she didn’t just fall down those stairs. She was pushed.

Ruthie has no idea who wanted her pushing up daisies. All she knows is that she can’t cross over until the matter is laid to eternal rest. In the land of the living, Emma Lee’s high-school crush, Sheriff Jack Henry Ross, isn’t ready to rule out foul play. Granny Raines, the widow of Ruthie’s ex-husband and co-owner of the Sleepy Hollow Inn, is the prime suspect. Now Emma Lee is stuck playing detective or risk being haunted forever.

I hope you’ll enjoy the next The Hallows installment, Melliane! I loved Black Magic Sanction, but then again, I got a little obsessed with that whole world 🙂

I am so curious about the Otherworld series, I keep wishing I had more time to read, you know? Witch Upon a Star has a very nice wordplay in the title, it truly made me giggle 🙂

I hope you’ll enjoy all of these new books, Melliane. Have a great weekend, my friend 🙂

I’m so looking forward to Otherworld Nights! I’ve been searching for a few of those stories for years so I can’t wait to get my paperback copy. I still need to finish the last few books in the series and I want to get that done this winter. Enjoy your books!

  3. Jennifer Bielman

I got Otherworld Nights too! Yay.

  4. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Oh nice! I got Otherworldly Nights too! Requested wayyy back in July so I was surprised to see it turn up on my Netgalley page!

Curious about A Ghostly Undertaking, I requested that as well but as always, haven’t heard back from the publisher yet. EW tends to take forever with my requests and then it’s seriously 99% of the time a rejection! Oh well!

Hope you enjoy all your new reads!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!

    Have a GREAT day!
