Gamble Brothers, Book 1
Synopsis: A sexy category romance from Entangled’s Brazen imprint…
She’ll make him lose control…
Madison Daniels has worshipped her brother’s best friend since they were kids. Everyone thinks she and Chase Gamble would make the perfect couple, but there are two major flaws in their logic. 1) Chase has sworn off relationships of any kind, and 2) after blurring the line between friends and lovers for one night four years ago, they can’t stop bickering.
Forced together for her brother’s wedding getaway, Chase and Madison decide to call a truce for the happy couple. Except all bets are off when they’re forced to shack up in a tacky 70’s honeymoon suite and survive a multitude of “accidents” as the family tries to prove their “spark” can be used than for more than fighting. That is, if they don’t strangle each other first…
Review: J. Lynn is none other than Jennifer Armentrout and even though I’ve read some of her books a long time ago. Yet, in recent years, her novels have really come to the forefront and I know I missed a lot. Also, the reissue of the Gamble Brothers series in French gave me the opportunity to immerse myself in this first volume.
The novel announced a pleasant romance allowing to have a good time and that is exactly what we get with Tempting the Best Man. We therefore follow Maddie and Chase here. Maddie has always loved Chase since childhood when she followed him and her brother to play with them. Everyone knows it, it’s no secret, but Chase does not seem to care about her charms. That was true before, when he rejected her and it seems to be true today again. Yet for the marriage of her brother, Maddie and Chase find themselves together again. Moreover, it seems that destiny plays tricks when they are forced to share a suite together.
It was very funny to follow them both, to see their clumsiness and yet their desire to create something together. There were many misunderstandings but it is a pleasure to learn to get to know them. Between Maddie who really hopes that Chase will be interested in her and he who thinks that she deserves better. This is not a very original story but it is fresh and cute. I had a great time and I am curious to discover the story of the next Gamble brother.
Oooo, I remember reading this book years ago! I loved it. I haven’t continued with the series yet, though I have them. I also want to read Unchained, which I haven’t gotten to yet. I hope Armentrout writes more pure adult romance (though I like her romantic suspense, Till Death). 😀 Great review, Melliane!
Have a fantastic day. =)

This sounds really fun and is something that I will really enjoy. I’ll be checking it out. Great review!
oh this book sounds simply fantastic and I LOVE this author. I adored her recent NA series she did. I had no idea she had a new series out, so now I am super stoked.
I need to read more of hers
Sounds like a very good romance. I read some that have similar plot with this book and yeah, agree with, they’ve never bored me. Awesome review, as always, Melliane.
I’ve read any book by this author yet but I’ve heard great things about her books.
Thanks for sharing. 🙂
yes it is not original but it’s sweet
I remember buying this one because it looked so fun, glad it turned out to be!
Childhood friends stories can be fun. I still haven’t read any of her J. Lynn books yet.
Nice review, Melliane!
you should try
I have never tried her alter ego J. Lynn but this does sound fun!
And I still have not tried her other name
This sounds good!
I totally forgot about this book!!!! I’ve always wanted to read this story from Jennifer and I’ve never got around to it. This is an old one, that’s for sure 🙂 I’ll have to see if I actually own it; there’s a sad chance that I may. Great review!!!
yes not a new one lol mainly as it’s a re released in French too
I feel like a loser. I haven’t read ANY of her books yet. I’m so tempted to jump in with this one, because I love when there’s silliness.
Mhmm I was unsure at first, but your review picked my interest. 😀 Sometimes you can’t judge a book by the summary. 😉
So glad you had a good time with it. 🙂
