Crave Me by Cecy Robson

O’Brien Family, Book 3

Synopsis: Wren O’Brien isn’t your typical female. As the only girl from a loud Irish family with seven siblings, she prefers fast cars to lip gloss and bad boys to good men. It’s the reason she’s nursing a wounded soul and keeping her distance from a dangerous ex.

Evan Jonah is running an empire and just moved from the lavish thoroughfares of London to the gritty streets of Philadelphia. When he walks into the nearest dealership, he’s expecting to find a reliable vehicle to handle the brutal winters, not a sexy female car rep with killer legs.

Wren doesn’t know why “Hotness in a Suit” asked her out. She doesn’t expect a great time or a night of passion that knocks her on her ass. But that’s exactly what Evan shows her.

She also never counted on how hard and fast she’d fall. But men like Evan—good men with even better hearts—don’t desire tough-talking Philly girls for long.

Evan has never met a woman like Wren. But he’s up for the challenge and ready to prove her wrong.

Review: Cecy Robson’s talent must never be doubted, and this volume is proof of it once again. I could praise her novels and especially her romances but I think you will understand it yourself if you get started! I sincerely think you will not be disappointed, I am as always under the spell.

We discover Wren O’Brien here, the only daughter of the family. She did not have an easy life, far from it and her bad choices in men made her very suspicious. However, as soon as she meets Evan, something changes, a link is created between them. But Evan is very different from the men she usually meets, he is kind, good and he listens … A man too good for her and yet she can not help but hope that maybe it could work between them. Evan is all that he seems to be, but he is also a hard worker. CEO in his father’s enterprise, he hopes to finally get it out of the shipwreck in which it has placed itself in order to make survive what remains of his father, but this success is only possible by continuous and intense work.

Their meeting is really cute, and despite their problem we feel a real attachment on each side. But they are going to have to try to find time for each other, to overcome their uncertainties and it will be a big job to carry out all that as Wren still has to manage the consequences of her last relationship. Indeed, it seems that she is harassed and the culprit is nothing but her last lover. With crescendo problems, can our two lovebirds manage to save their story?

I really enjoyed this novel and the characters. We find all the ones we had already discovered and it was a pleasure to learn a little more about Wren this time. This heroine may seem strong, full of determination and have confidence but it is finally a facade and we learn to discover her insecurities. The poor girl had to go through a lot of hardships alone, but Evan may finally help her get her head out of the water.

It was a lovely romance that I enjoyed reading. I was really glad that Wren was finally tumbling on someone good even though she had a lot to deal with.

  1. I haven’t read this series yet. It’s a bit out of my normal reading genres. But it does sound good and I know Cecy is an amazing author. 🙂
