Review: I had heard a lot about this comic and the mention of a Ms. Marvel made me very intrigued. It must be said that I always find it nice to have women super heroes as main characters.
I will start by talking about the story and I confess that it was not necessarily what I expected. Kamala is a young girl in search of freedom in relation to her parents who are very strict. She dreams of having powers, of being blonde, more beautiful, etc … But here, her life will change when she runs away one evening at a party and she finds herself in a strange fog.
I had a good time overall but it is true that I expected much more. It was nice and different but I something was missing for me. Perhaps I shall have it with the second volume! In any case, the illustrations were also nice enough to look at and as I said I had a good time.
I’ve had my eye on this one, too. Sorry there was a bit of disconnection. Yes, hopefully the next volume will be even better for you.
I wish I knew more about Ms Marvel. I should pick up a comic about her
Glad you enjoyed it despite it not meeting your expectations.
Very cool 🙂
I can’t think of the last time I read a book with illustrations. This looks interesting, even if it wasn’t perfect for you.
Thank you for the heads up I was curious about this one but never picked it up
Sorry this one was missing something for you. It does sound like an interesting premise.
Great review, I still need to read this one, for some reason this slipped my radar.
I read the first couple volumes of Ms. Marvel and I did enjoy them!!
I’ve read a few comics, but not many. I did love the Jessica Jones one. I’ve read one Deadpool too. The others are based on novels (Mercy Thompson and Anita Blake). I need to do more comics as I’ve enjoyed them. I might have to give this one a try. Great review.
