Kiss Me Tonight by Maria Luis

Put A Ring On It, Book 2

Synopsis: I had it all.
The Super Bowl rings.
The hot shot TV gig.

Then I got fired.

Now I’m living in middle-of-nowhere Maine, playing assistant coach to the woman of my nightmares.

Did I mention that she and her son are my new neighbors?

If you talk to the locals, they’ll tell you Aspen Levi is the queen of high school football.
But if you ask me, my new head coach is a pain in my left nut sac.

She’s too blonde.
Too peppy.
And way too sexy for my peace of mind.

Only, one minute we’re fighting, and the next I can’t keep my hands off her. One hot kiss. One forbidden touch. I don’t do love but . . .

What I want, I take, and what I want is Aspen Levi.

Review: I really liked the first volume and I was really looking forward to discovering Dom’s story this time! But I also can’t wait for Savannah’s story that I am very curious to read too!

Dom moves to a small town where after all he’s been through, he doesn’t expect to become an assistant to a sports coach… And this coach is the woman he met the day before in a bar and who called him an asshole. Levi finally managed to leave her husband and returned home with her 15-year-old son Topher. However, this return is not easy and she did not expect to have to work with the famous sportsman Dominic.

I had a really good time with that story. I loved having a 40-year-old wife and not a younger version, and it was even better to discover her as the mother of a teenager. Her relationship with her son is touching and strong and it was really very nice to see them together! The meeting with Dominic is sparkling and yet they both hide cracks that they will try to overcome together.

As I said, it was a very nice novel. However, I must say that I think the novel is a little too long, and I have dropped the story several times. This aside, it was once again a good discovery!

  1. This sounds like a series that you’re enjoying. I like that the female lead is a 40 year old with a son. Most of the leading ladies are always on the younger side. I agree that once a story starts getting too long, it feels drawn out, and causes a loss of interest. I can see why that would cause you to keep putting it down. Nevertheless, I’m glad you enjoyed it overall.
