Heart, Book 2
Synopsis: Five minutes until the interview begins.
Fresh on the heels of her college graduation, Cameron Heart has landed an interview at a prestigious architecture firm.
Four minutes until the interview.
She knows she’s only there because the owner, Grayson Cole, is her older sister’s friend.
Three minutes.
For the last seven years, Grayson has been the most intimidating man Cammie has ever had the pleasure, or displeasure, of being around.
Two Minutes.
But the job opportunity is too good to pass up. So, Cammie will have to ignore the fact that Grayson is handsome enough to have his own national holiday.
One.
After all, she shouldn’t feel that way about her new boss. And, he will be her new boss.
Review:Â I had a great time with the story of Brooklyn and Jason in the first novel and now it’s the turn of the sister (Cameron) and the best friend (Grayson).
In the first novel, we feel that something complicated is happening between them and that the situation is still very tense. We do not really know why and it is with this volume that we will discover what exactly lies in this situation. We thus begin the novel with Cammie, who is to have an interview in the architectural cabinet that her older sister managed to get her with Grayson. She is determined to get the job, but she really did not expect the interview to take place that way! Oh no, especially when the man explains to her that he has always been attracted to her, but that if he hires her, she will be his employee and therefore nothing will ever happen between them. So when we know that Cameron has been in love with this man for a long time, she can not let this go and her new goal now is to make him succumb!
The novel was refreshing and it was very funny to see our two heroes turn around each other, Cammie trying to put all her assets forward while Grayson tries to make her understand in many ways that she is wrong. I really liked their game. It was also very nice to find as much Brooklyn or Jason as I loved them previously. We can continue their story a little bit in the background.
By cons what disappointed me a bit is all the French mistakes in the text. As Cammie dreams of going to Paris, there are many sentences and there are very few that were correct. I was quite frustrated about that…

Haha! Neat twist that the heroine is the one attempting the seduction.
Too bad about the language mistakes in the translation.
Melliane

I love these kind of stories. I haven’t read anything by this author before. I think it’s time to check them out. 🙂

Yikes for the bad language research on the author’s part. That is disappointing. Glad you were able to look past it and still like the story line.
Melliane
Yeah, I don’t know why people use another language if it’s all wrong

This is one I haven’t gotten to yet or I guess the one that comes before. Not sure of that title. I have really enjoyed this author, but sorry the French wasn’t the best.

One would think the author could have asked someone, in this age you can find anyone
Melliane

Heidi

I’ve heard great things about R.S. Grey! And so sorry about the mistakes in your French edition!
Melliane
it’s not the French edition it’s the French the author used in the English one some times
Carole Rae
Ooo those little mistakes can build up though. And it is a simple google check to make sure the French is right
Melliane

This sounds so fun! I like when there is an interesting career in addition to the romance. Sorry about the mistakes.
