The Guzzi Legacy, Book 3

Synopsis: A made man versus the cartel …

The job was simple—a contract from a powerful crime family to retrieve Valeria Lòpez. A woman believed to have been forcibly taken by one of the major cartels in Mexico. Easy enough, right?

Christopher Guzzi thought so, but the details made it difficult. He didn’t expect to trick his way into the path of the cartel leader only to develop feelings for the woman he was meant to recover. That leader’s wife. Every step he takes is risky, and one wrong move could leave them both dead. Too bad that’s not enough to keep him away from Valeria as he tries to find a way to free her.

Hope is a dangerous thing.
Love is even worse.

Here, everybody plays dirty.
No one can be trusted.
So, how do they get out alive?

Review: Valeria was an important figure in the Andino + Haven duology and I was really looking forward to discovering her story, especially after all that is happening to her in these books. It must be said that it is very easy to get attached to her or her daughter Maria.

Valeria, who rebuilt her life with her friend Haven, finds herself again in the hands of the man she tried to escape. But this time, Maria is also there and Jorge knows how to achieve his goals by constantly watching them, hurting and threatening Valeria. However, Haven has not given up and Andino asks the league and therefore the Guzzi to go there and see if she is there of her own free will and if it is not the case to do everything to remove her. But here’s Chris didn’t expect to fall in love with this woman. This attraction could get them killed if someone finds out.

I really enjoyed discovering her story and it was touching to see that Valeria could finally trust someone. Maria is also a little girl to whom we can only be attached to. She’s cute and trying to do the best she can. We also see Alessio, Corrado and even a little Ginevra again, so what more could we ask for?
