Cassidy Blake, Book 2

Synopsis: Trouble is haunting Cassidy Blake . . . even more than usual.

She (plus her ghost best friend, Jacob, of course) are in Paris, where Cass’s parents are filming their TV show about the world’s most haunted cities. Sure, it’s fun eating croissants and seeing the Eiffel Tower, but there’s true ghostly danger lurking beneath Paris, in the creepy underground Catacombs.

When Cass accidentally awakens a frighteningly strong spirit, she must rely on her still-growing skills as a ghosthunter — and turn to friends both old and new to help her unravel a mystery. But time is running out, and the spirit is only growing stronger.

And if Cass fails, the force she’s unleashed could haunt the city forever.

Review: I had a good time with the first volume and I was curious to see what the second volume would be like. And then, how can I resist when this new investigation brings our heroes to Paris? I loved it!

So Cassidy and Jacob find themselves in a new city, which also means facing a new ghost! But this ghost could be much more dangerous than the one they faced in the previous novel. He can interact in the world of the living and in the veil, which will be an additional difficulty to deal with. This story will force Cassidy to reflect on Jacob’s evolution, now that he is with her; she will also have to do everything she can to find out who this evil little boy is in order to find a way to get him to the other side.

Once again it was a very good book and I must say I was looking forward to finding out howJacob died. I enjoyed following our two main characters and I’m curious to see what the sequel will offer us!
