Review : I had this book in my TBR pile for a while and I’m very happy to have finally finished this series ! I had a conflicting feeling when I started this novel. Indeed, I was quite afraid that all the story was full of useless sex scenes. Because I have to say that it was sometimes the case in the other books. But finally it wasn’t what I expected. This time, although the love story of Brian-Morgan-Lugh was from time to time forward, the plot is really well developed. I was very intrigued about the end of the story, to know how Jenna Black would really finish it in this last book. Indeed, in the former novels, I didn’t feel the end of the series. Therefore, all the events follow each others really fast. It’s wasn’t a bad thing either, and the story was full of action and conspiracy.

However, we will discover the Machiavellian Dougal’s plan, something I was very curious to know more about, for some books. Indeed, I was very impatient to see the meeting with this character we’ve heard so much about. But I was very disappointed to not find the big bad guy I thought, because finally he was quite simple and banal (despite his big dreams). I didn’t understand why Lugh wanted so bad to let Brian know he liked him so much… Because it was an important point for Morgan in this novel. Oh and I just love Raphael, he was so awesome !

I really like this book, hindsight I think the end happens very fast despite we didn’t feel it when we read it. Like I said, the plot was well conceived and it was pleasant to follow the Morgan’s adventures who faces an enemy who could upset her life.

To conclude the series opens a lot of new ideas, so the reader can choose what will happen in the future for all the characters.

Morgane Kingsley, Tome 5

Résumé : Morgane Kingsley est une redoutable exorciste, mais cohabiterait quand même bien avec Lugh, le démon supersexy qui la possède, s’il ne gémissait pas lascivement pendant les moments intimes qu’elle partage avec Brian, son amant mortel.
Mais pour le moment, Morgane doit mettre ses problèmes personnels de côté : en effet, un nombre alarmant de démons animant des corps en piteux état apparaissent aux 7 Péchés Capitaux, le club de Philadelphie. Pour Morgane, pas de doute, c’est Dougal, l’ennemi juré de Lugh, qui se cache derrière tout ça. Mais pourquoi ?
Il lui faudra se jeter dans cette guerre entre démons pour le découvrir…

Avis : J’aurais mis un peu de temps je dois l’avouer mais j’ai enfin fini cette série de Jenna black. J’avais un sentiment assez contradictoire en commençant ce livre. En effet j’avais assez peur que toute l’histoire soit remplie de scènes de sexe inutiles. Parce qu’il faut le dire, pour certains c’était vraiment le cas ! Mais finalement ce n’était pas ce à quoi je m’attendais. Cette fois ci, bien que l’histoire du triangle amoureux Brian-Morgane-Lugh soit de temps en temps mise en avant, l’intrigue est aussi bien développée. Je me demandais aussi comment Jenna Black allait pouvoir finir sa série dans ce dernier opus. En effet, dans les tomes précédents, je n’ai jamais eu l’impression que l’histoire nous rapprochait de la fin. Du coup tout s’enchaine très vite dans ce volume. Ce n’est pas une mauvaise chose non plus, l’histoire est bien déroulée et pleine d’action, sans que tout soit posé sans explications.

Nous allons enfin découvrir les plans diaboliques de Dougal, quelque chose que nous attendions depuis un certain nombre de tomes. D’ailleurs j’attendais impatiemment la rencontre avec ce personnage dont on nous parle tant ! J’ai quand même été un peu déçue de ne pas retrouver le grand méchant personnage que je redoutais, il était finalement assez commun (bien que possédant des idées de grandeurs). Je n’ai pas vraiment compris pourquoi Lugh voulait tellement faire savoir à Brian qu’il le trouvait lui aussi attirant… Parce que c’était quand même un des points problématiques important pour Morgane dans ce livre. Oh, et j’ai adoré Raphael, il a été une révélation ici !
J’ai beaucoup aimé le livre, mais c’est vrai qu’en prenant du recul on se dit aussi que la fin a finalement été assez vite expédiée, bien que sur le coup on ne le ressent pas comme ça.
Comme je le disais l’intrigue est vraiment bien trouvée et j’ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à suivre les aventures de Morgane face à un ennemi qui pourrait bouleverser sa vie.
On conclut la série avec de nombreuses ouvertures permettant au lecteur d’imaginer la suite des évènements.
