This sounds like a variation. Or a mantra, sensual and voluptuous, which could appeal to recite. We bet that Luxuria’s regulars prefer surrender to sensuality rather than discourse.

Friend, mentor, confidant and lover, while losing the woman he loved, Siatris thinks he has lost everything. Almost to the point of denying his very nature. But a demon stays a demon. Siatris is not the least carnal of them. Emmanuelle, his beautiful new employee, seems in any case quite willing to remind him this fact.

Review: Siatris is a well known character of the readers of the Luxuria saga and knowing the following of his story was indispensable. He is in fact a demon who has a broken heart because Sláine left him to return to Sio (to get the whole story, read the saga Luxuria).

Emmanuelle was hired as an accountant at the Luxuria club and sees Siatris (her boss) every day. She is very attracted to him, but being aware of his history and seeing his sadness, she never made him understand that; until the day she risks it. Then starts a carnal relationship between them, she did not want to reveal her feelings for fear of losing him and he is still too mired in sadness.

I would have liked to see Emmanuelle react a little more when Siatris appears really obnoxious. He would have deserved at least a slap 🙂 That would have been too simple and Frédérique de Keyser is sadistic with her characters (and therefore her readers!). I warn you that if you enter the world of Frédérique, this will not be the last time you’ll want to slap a character: D

I find that I do not make enough tribute to Frédérique de Keyser’s writing talent with my simple words (I still have much trouble organizing them to write a small review), if I have succeeded, if only a little bit, to make you want to discover her, I will be very happy!

Cela sonne comme une déclinaison. Ou un mantra, charnel et voluptueux, que l’on pourrait se plaire à réciter. Gageons que les habitués du Luxuria préféreront s’abandonner à la sensualité plutôt qu’en disserter.

Ami, mentor, amant et confident, en perdant la femme qu’il aimait, Siatris pense avoir tout perdu. Au point de pratiquement renier sa nature profonde. Mais un démon reste un démon. Siatris n’étant pas le moins charnel d’entre eux. Emmanuelle, sa ravissante nouvelle employée, paraît en tout cas tout à fait disposée à le lui rappeler.

Avis : Siatris est un personnage bien connu des lectrices de la saga Luxuria et connaitre la suite de son histoire était indispensable. Siatris est donc un démon qui a le cœur brisé, car Sláine l’a quitté pour retourner vers Sio (pour connaitre toute l’histoire, lire la saga Luxuria).

Emmanuelle est embauchée comme comptable au club Luxuria et côtoie Siatris, le patron, tous les jours. Elle est très attirée par lui mais reste secrète compte tenu de son histoire et sa tristesse ; jusqu’où jour où elle se lance enfin. Débute alors entre eux une relation charnelle, elle ne voulant pas lui révéler ses sentiments de peur de le perdre et lui encore trop embourbé dans sa tristesse.

J’aurais aimé qu’Emmanuelle se révolte un peu plus face au comportement odieux de Siatris. Il aurait bien mérité au moins une gifle 🙂 Cela aurait été trop simple et Frédérique de Keyser est sadique avec ses personnages (et par conséquent ses lectrices !). Je vous préviens, si vous entrez dans son univers, vous aurez souvent envie de gifler un personnage 😀

Je trouve que je ne rends pas assez hommage au talent d’écriture de Frédérique de Keyser avec mes simples mots (que j’ai toujours autant de mal à organiser pour écrire un petit avis), si j’ai réussi, ne serait-ce qu’un tout petit peu, à vous donner envie de la découvrir, j’en serai très heureuse !

Amanda has only the right to remain silent. Virtually thrown to the mercy of a demon in charge of getting her back on the right path, the young woman may thus discover how she was actually lost. It could be the opportunity for her to go on a different route. That, carnal and demanding, leading into the arms of her absolute master.

Review: What I could hate Amanda in the Luxuria saga! She thought she was a dominatrix, but proved to be rather a tormentor. The short story begins with Amanda tied to a cross of St. Andrew and anxious to know she was delivered to a demon who can do what he wants with her.

Hyks is a demon (sexy, male… It’s quite hot here right?) And domineering. He needs to possess. He will help Amanda to get rid of the person she believes to be and let the person she really is. He wants to show her that a master-subject relationship can be fulfilling without romantic feelings, but will Amanda accept that?

The relationship between a demon and a human, the darkest atmosphere, intense feelings of the characters… It really evokes the universe of the Luxuria saga. It is a beautiful story if you can appreciate the domination-submission side of the story. I totally understand that we can not appreciate this. If you like stories without domination, without threesomes (I speak for the Luxuria saga), I advise you not to enter the universe of Frederique de Keyser. However, if you are curious, treat yourself, you will not regret the trip 🙂

Amanda, elle, n’a que le droit de se taire. Pratiquement jetée en pâture à un démon chargé de la remettre sur le droit chemin, la jeune femme risque donc de découvrir à quel point elle s’était effectivement égarée. Peut-être est-ce là l’opportunité pour elle d’emprunter une autre voie. Celle, charnelle et exigeante, menant dans les bras de son maître absolu.

Avis : Ce que j’ai pu détester Amanda dans la saga Luxuria ! Elle se prenait pour une dominatrice, mais se révélait plutôt être un bourreau. La nouvelle débute avec Amanda ligotée à une croix de Saint-André et angoissée de savoir qu’elle a été livrée à un démon qui peut faire d’elle ce qu’il veut.

Hyks est l’homme en question (sexy, mâle… Il fait chaud ici non ?) et dominateur. Il a besoin de posséder. Il va aider Amanda à se débarrasser de la personne qu’elle croit être et laisser s’épanouir la personne qu’elle est vraiment. Il veut lui démontrer qu’une relation maître-soumise peut être épanouissante sans sentiments amoureux, mais Amanda acceptera-t-elle cela ?

La relation entre un démon et une humaine, l’ambiance plus sombre, les sentiments intenses des personnages… Cela évoque vraiment l’univers de la saga Luxuria. C’est une nouvelle magnifique si vous pouvez apprécier le côté domination-soumission de l’histoire. Je comprends tout à fait qu’on puisse ne pas apprécier cela. Si vous aimez les histoires sans domination, sans ménage à trois (j’en parle pour la saga Luxuria), je vous déconseille d’entrer dans l’univers de Frédérique de Keyser. Toutefois, si vous êtes curieuse, laissez vous tenter, vous ne regretterez pas le voyage 🙂

Madimi would however have liked to discuss with Ylsi. Broken, the angel refuses her help and rejects the feelings she has for him. It could be enough to the demoness to use a different language to reach him. The obe of desire?

Review: The angel Ylsi has lost his powers. They were torn by his superiors. He is therefore found to be a simple human. But the angels, by their nature, do not like humans; Ylsi disgusts himself and can not stand being touched.

Madimi is a soft-hearted demoness that collects injured cats. She did not hesitate to host the angel to help him, but with an idea in mind, because she is not insensitive to his charm.

Frédérique de Keyser describes their relationship much more crudely than usual. Passed the first surprise, it is quite significant because it better corresponds to her character Ylsi. It takes us into the vortex of their relationship and their emotions are well developed despite the short format of the story.

I do not know if each short story is actually more intense than the last, or if the fact of reading them the one after the other increases their intensity, but the fact is that these stories are expensive in panties : D

Madimi aurait pourtant aimé pouvoir discuter avec Ylsi. Brisé, l’ange refuse son aide et rejette les sentiments qu’elle nourrit pour lui. Peut-être suffirait-il à la démone d’utiliser un autre langage pour l’atteindre. Celui du désir ?

Avis : L’ange Ylsi a perdu ses pouvoirs. Ils lui ont été arrachés par ses supérieurs. Il se retrouve donc devenu un simple humain. Or, les anges, de part leur nature, n’apprécient pas les humains ; Ylsi se dégoûte lui-même et ne supporte pas qu’on le touche.

Madimi est une démone au cœur tendre qui recueille des chats blessés. Elle n’a pas hésité à accueillir l’ange afin de l’aider, avec toutefois une idée derrière la tête, car elle n’est pas insensible à son charme.

Frédérique de Keyser nous décrit leur relation d’une manière beaucoup plus crue qu’à son habitude. Passée la première surprise, c’est tout à fait appréciable car cela correspond bien mieux à son personnage Ylsi. Elle nous entraîne dans le tourbillon de leur relation et de leurs émotions, bien développées malgré le court format qu’est la nouvelle.

Je ne sais pas si chaque nouvelle est réellement plus intense que la précédente ou si le fait de les lire les unes après les autres accroît leur intensité mais le fait est que lire ces nouvelles coûte cher en petites culottes 😀

This is undoubtedly intended to Axir, powerful demon with a sulphurous reputation. Reputation based or carefully maintained? Naalys, angel and subject of courtship by the devil, will soon discover the truth.

Review: The first thing I must say is that Frédérique de Keyser is the French author I prefer. I love her style, her way to make us feel things by manipulating the words as she knows to do it so well. I like when the French language is so well and wisely used.

I have read and loved the Luxuria saga with 3 novellas and 5 short stories. The short stories talk of the characters from Luxuria, but they may well be read independently, and are grouped under the name Les Luxurieux (The Luxurious). Did I say that Frédérique develops her talent while writing paranormal romance? And erotic! Very erotic 🙂 While I was reading Ying yang, I was already in a trance even before any sexual act took place! This is the power of words, and Frédérique de Keyser’s talent!

Ying yang is a short story devoted to Axir, a demon, and Naalis, an angel. However, they are not angels and demons with the usual religious connotations, but it is more clearly explained in the preamble of the short story.

Axir is therefore an elegant demon, refined and sexy (very!). He is often seen in the Luxuria club with two Adonis and has a sulphurous reputation. Naalis is an angel of the Annanaels’ caste, which are inherently less interested in physical contact. She resists for a while the advances of Axir but realizes she reacts to his presence and attention. To win her heart, Axir will first have to gain her trust.

It is the perfect short story to discover Frederique de Keyser if you do not already know her. It’s a good introduction into her particular paranormal world that I love!
