Diamond Fire by Ilona Andrews

Hidden Legacy, Book 3.5

Synopsis: Nevada Frida Baylor and Connor Ander Rogan cordially invite you to join their wedding celebration. Summoning, weather manipulation, and other magical activities strictly forbidden.

Catalina Baylor is looking forward to wearing her maid of honor dress and watching her older sister walk down the aisle. Then the wedding planner gets escorted off the premises, the bride’s priceless tiara disappears, and Rogan’s extensive family overruns his mother’s home. Someone is cheating, someone is lying, and someone is plotting murder.

To make this wedding happen, Catalina will have to do the thing she fears most: use her magic. But she’s a Baylor and there’s nothing she wouldn’t do for her sister’s happiness. Nevada will have her fairy tale wedding, even if Catalina has to tear the mansion apart brick by brick to get it done.

Review: Roh, how eager I was to dive into this story. Hidden Legacy is a series that I like a lot and I was more than happy when the authors announced more novels. And what more can we ask for when we focus on Catalina this time?

The marriage of Nevada and Connor is approaching and you already suspect that it will not be easy! In addition to having to organize the wedding with her sister, Catalina will also have to deal with all the problems when she is hired by Mad Rogan’s mother to find a missing tiara.

How to resist this novel? Because once again I was really happy to find all the characters! It was really nice to follow another character like Catalina, to see how she felt about the changes in her life as a bonus and how she manages her powers. She is a discreet and sensitive young woman and her life is completely turned upside down. I had quite sad for her and I hope she can evolve afterwards.

A transitional story perfect for fans of the series and I will wait until the next one!
