Blood Destiny, Book 1

Synopsis: “I agree to pay Sergio Velenci one million pounds if the female takes less than nine days to fully turn.”

Lissa’s life as a vampire begins on the day her husband is removed from life support. Turned by rogues who wager her life, Lissa is running from her maker who is determined to kill her, hunted by the Council who has branded her a rogue and blackmailed by werewolves, who utilize her newly-developed talents for their own gain.

Review: I remember seeing this series go everywhere many years ago. And I had to take a freebie when the first volume was free, because when I looked in my kindle a little bit I found myself with this novel and I’m glad I got into it!

Vampires, it’s true, are a little less my thing. I’ve been less attracted to them for quite some time and yet the author has perfectly succeeded in reconciling me with them! More than that, I’m really curious to read on, and I know I’m about to buy the sequel because I’m really looking forward to finding out what’s going to happen now for our dear Lissa! Yes, because poor Lissa has been through a lot! You could say that again! Transformed into a vampire during a bet, she finds herself chased by her creators and manages to get hired as a bodyguard for a very rich man of whom she knows nothing and who could hide many secrets!

I loved following Lissa, seeing her discover what she was, what she could do, even if it wasn’t easy to do all this alone. She will also face a world she knows nothing about and it was fascinating to be with her! She is also a young woman with a big heart and despite what we do to her, she will do anything to help. But that’s not all, because I loved all the characters very much and I admit that I was surprised when I learned the truth about Winkler even though I suspect I should have seen it coming.

Anyway, this first volume was a great discovery and I’m really looking forward to reading more now!

This looks good. Sometimes I enjoy getting into these older books because the world is dated, with telephone booths or pagers, etc.

I love seeing a vampire story being more magical for you, love seeing an author handle it so well. I love vamps, and will look into this one.

I tend to really enjoy vampire stories. I don’t remember seeing this one before but it sounds like it would be worth a try.

Glad this was good! Being turned as a result of a wager would be most infuriating, i would think!

Ah yes, I was gonna say this looks a bit familiar, I think I remember when it was everywhere too.

I loved this book! And I read probably the next five before I stopped. You’ve got a lot more exciting sequels to read! I have to admit it gets pretty crazy later on. Enjoy!
