Review: I didn’t know the author at all but I saw on goodreads that the series had 10 volumes, which is a lot for a romance series. When I read the synopsis, I was immediately intrigued by the story and I’m finally glad I read it, because I had a great time!

Everyone on campus knows that Mason is a gigolo. Rumors are flying and when Reese comes to live with her cousin and meets the man in question, she doesn’t understand why he hates her. Their roads cross again when our heroine becomes the baby-sitter of Mason’s sister. Reese has a dark past, but so does Mason. They can’t be together but everything brings them together. Will they find a solution?

I had a great time with this novel and couldn’t wait to find out how the story would end. I don’t know if I will read book 2, because of the teacher/student theme, but I am looking forward to book 3 about Reese’s cousin Eva!

Bon d’accord, de qui je me moque ? Pour une étudiante en première année à l’université, je dois avoir les pires antécédents niveau sentimental.

Pas étonnant que l’amour soit la dernière chose que j’aie à l’esprit lorsque Mason Lowe entre dans ma vie. L’alchimie entre nous est explosive et notre connexion défie toute logique. Je ne me suis jamais sentie aussi vivante que lorsque je suis avec lui. J’aime même me disputer avec lui, c’est pour dire. Il pourrait presque être mon âme sœur… si ce n’est ce minuscule et insignifiant petit problème.

C’est un gigolo.

Bon sang, je sais vraiment comment les choisir.

Avis : Je ne connaissais pas du tout l’auteure mais j’ai vu sur goodreads que la série comptait 10 tomes, ce qui est pas mal pour une série de romance. Quand j’ai lu le résumé, j’ai tout de suite été intriguée par l’histoire et je suis finalement ravie de l’avoir lue, car j’ai passé un super moment !

Tout le monde sait sur le campus que Mason est un gigolo. Les rumeurs vont bon train et quand Reese vient vivre chez sa cousine et qu’elle rencontre l’homme en question, elle ne comprend pas pourquoi il la déteste. Leurs routes se recroisent quand notre héroïne devient la baby-sitter de la sœur de Mason. Reese a un passé sombre, mais Mason aussi. Ils ne peuvent pas être ensemble mais tout les rapproche. Trouveront-ils une solution ?

J’ai passé un très bon moment avec ce roman et j’étais impatiente de découvrir comment l’histoire allait se terminer. Je ne sais pas si je lirai le tome 2, à cause du thème « prof / élève », mais par contre j’ai hâte de découvrir le tome 3 sur Eva, la cousine de Reese !

Review: Ever since this first volume was released, I was curious to find out more about the story.

Sara was stood up by her fiancé when he was supposed to meet her family. She doesn’t want to tell her family… So she offers to a stranger to pretend to be her boyfriend and help her. And you can imagine this relationship will evolve into something more. But on top of that, our two heroes are going to have to face the problems of their past to finally move on.

This was a pretty cool novel. The story is classic, but I had a good time. There may be a few long parts, but the story is perfect if you want something light. I wonder what’s in store for the sequel!

Comment dès lors affronter les questions de ses frères – et de leurs épouses si parfaites – et de ses parents ? Qui tous s’attendaient à rencontrer le futur époux de la petite rebelle de la famille…

Et si Luis, ce beau sapeur-pompier en congés forcés rencontré sur le tarmac de l’aéroport, se transformait en gendre idéal ?

Voilà la bonne idée de Sara – ou pas… Après tout, pourquoi les rêves ne se réaliseraient-ils pas sous le soleil de Key West ?

Avis : Depuis la sortie en grand format de ce premier tome, j’étais curieuse de le découvrir.

Sara a été plantée par son fiancé alors qu’il devait rencontrer sa famille. Elle ne veut pas montrer à sa famille qu’on lui a posé un lapin… Aussi, elle propose à un inconnu de se faire passer pour son petit ami et l’aider. Et vous vous doutez bien que cette relation va évoluer vers quelque chose de plus. Mais en plus de ça, nos deux héros vont devoir faire face aux problèmes de leur passé pour pouvoir enfin avancer.

C’était un roman assez sympa. L’histoire est classique, mais j’ai passé un bon moment. Il y a peut-être quelques longueurs, mais l’histoire est parfaite si vous voulez quelque chose de léger. Je me demande ce que nous réservera la suite !

Review: I was quite intrigued when I saw the release of this novel. I don’t know why, I thought it would be based on a love triangle, but in the end, it’s a reverse harem that the author proposes us.

Violet is a young girl whose life was completely turned upside down when she learns that she is accepted with a scholarship to an elite university. Only princes and princesses study there. A new world for an orphaned girl. But then, just when she thought she could become someone without being friends with elite people, Alex, one of the great princes, suddenly takes an interest in her. But he is not the only one and Violet will have to find out who she can trust. It will be far from easy.

This was a fun novel and I was caught up in the story waiting to find out how it would end. I think it will appeal to a lot of people, although I’m not a fan of reverse harem. It’s unfortunately not a genre for me. But anyway, it was a good read and I was glad to have discovered this first volume.

Mais Arbon Academy est bien plus qu’une simple fac pour futurs monarques. C’est un monde obscur en proie à la manipulation, aux manigances politiques et aux hommes dangereux qui ne reculent devant rien pour atteindre leur but. Et malgré tous ses efforts pour se fondre dans la masse, Violet devient rapidement un pion dans le combat entre deux puissants royaumes.

Avis : J’étais assez intriguée quand j’ai vu la sortie de ce roman. Je ne sais pas pourquoi, je pensais qu’il serait basé sur un triangle amoureux, mais c’est finalement, c’est un reverse harem que l’auteure propose.

Violet est une jeune fille dont la vie a été complètement chamboulée quand elle apprend qu’elle est acceptée avec une bourse dans une université d’élite. Seuls des princes et des princesses y étudient. Un nouveau monde pour une fillette orpheline. Mais voilà, alors qu’elle pensait pouvoir devenir quelqu’un sans trop côtoyer les êtres hors du commun, Alex, un des grands princes s’intéresse tout à coup à elle. Mais il n’est pas le seul et Violet va devoir découvrir à qui elle peut faire confiance. Ce sera loin d’être simple.

C’était un roman sympa et j’ai été prise dans l’histoire en attendant de découvrir comment il allait se terminer. Je pense qu’il pourra plaire à beaucoup de monde, même si pour ma part, je préfère éviter le reverse harem. Ce n’est malheureusement pas un genre pour moi. Mais quoi qu’il en soit, c’était une bonne lecture et j’étais contente d’avoir découvert ce premier tome.

Review: I was in the mood for a little romance and not knowing either the novel or the author, I jumped into this story with pleasure.

Henley puts all her energy into her job at a cruise line company. She hopes more than anything to finally get the promotion she has been waiting for. But it’s not that simple… Her boss has decided to put her in competition with her enemy in the company: Graham. She has never seen him except by video-conference as he works from home but her boss asks them to go on a cruise together. Why? They will have to come up with an idea to attract more people on their boats and the one who has the best idea will win the job. But when feelings get in the way, nothing goes right.

This was a nice novel. The plot is pretty standard, but we enjoy following Henley and Graham through their little adventure. They will both change and accept what they really want in life.

If you want to have a good time, go for it!
