Hello everyone, we’re happy to present you an amazing writer : Lindsay Anne Kendal. She is the author of the Bloodlines series. She aggreed to answer a few questions for us.
Could you tell us a little something about the third book?
I have to
be careful here so as not to spoil anything. What I will say is the Revelations is where all Hell breaks lose. There are some extreme battles, revenge and treachery. You learn who is behind the attacks and their reasoning behind it. The question is, will you agree with the reason and want him to continue, or will you be against them?
Has it been difficult to write the first book? Or the second?
I didn’t have any problems writing the first book, or not that I can remember anyway. I had a block for a couple of weeks on Torment, but then everything just seemed to fall into place. I must admit, Revelations is taking me a while. Although I know what I want to write, I just can’t seem to find the words.
Does the inspiration for the characters come from people you know?
A few of them yes. Keira definitely had my attitude and outlook on things, and Lily is very similar to my sister. Eligos is my dream man, oh I wish I could meet him in real life, and the others are the friends I wish I’d had around me all my life.
Have you done a lot of researches about witches of salem?
I read up on a lot of the history yes. It’s very interesting to see what happened. I didn’t want to basically write a version of the trials though, so I didn’t let it suck me in too much. I just wanted the place as the setting and to touch on it a little.
Do you need very specific conditions to write? With music? In a coffee shop? Where does the magic happen?
I eithe
r write in the car whilst I’m out and about, or shut away in my bedroom. I hate writing in the day, I love to sit in the dark with my laptop. Music is my inspiration so when the stereo isn’t on, I have my headphones on and my Ipod playing. A cup of tea and some Pepsi Max also helps
🙂
Do you have a favorite author? Or book?
I love Bram Stoker’s Dracula. That has to be my favourite book ever. I also like Carolyn Crane and her Mind Games series. I cannot wait for the third book to be released.
Do you have any ideas for another series?
I have the first in a two part series being released in the new year. Leticia. This one is very different to Bloodlines, and is set in England.
I also have a secret project I’m working on, but it’s so secret I can’t tell anyone. Sorry!

Write in the car?? LOL love it! x) I agree with you completely though! Writing sequels is almost always harder than writing the first book, and you DO have to do lots of research to make sure your facts are right!
Awesome interview, Lindsay! Your book sounds SO cool! Thank you so much for coming to Melliane and Inessa’s blog! 🙂

Lovely interview! There’s something so thrilling about writing in the dark. Wish I could write with music on.
I always write with a Coke Zero, myself. I like Pepsi Max, but it gives me a headache.
