Q: Which book genre do you avoid at all costs and why?
I think it depends on the period, but it’s true there are a lot of genres I don’t read. Indeed, I could say the autobiographies or even the erotic novels. they’re just not for me, or well for now. But we can read so many books that this is really not a problem.

Ditto. I don’t think I could handle an erotic novel!

Oh, I love erotic novels every now and again. They are great for getting me out of reading slumps. LOL
Happy Friday, Mel!
I think it depends on what I could count it lol. Romance paranormal books aren’t for me, it’s something else. Thank you Missie!
I don’t do biographies of any sort, at least not at this time. Thanks for stopping by, Happy Friday! Reading to Penguins

A lot of bloggers I’ve visted today have said the same thing about not reading erotica. For me, I give everything a fair try ^.^

Autobiographies, ew. I’d be open to erotica, but it’s not something I’d pick up if I wanted a good story line.

I don’t read many autobiographies either – there are just too many other books I’d rather read!

thank you it’s really nice
Oh for me depends on how it is written. I have read autobios that read like novels and a few erotica that are good too. Not often on the autobios though.
Have a great weekend!!
I will read erotica, but I rarely review it. Thanks for stopping by!
I agree that there are so many great books to read in almost every genre that even if there is one or two that I don’t read often I have so many other books to read. My TBR pile is unbelievable. 🙂

I’ve never read erotica, but never say never, I may someday. Thanks for stopping by 😉

Hopping through! Some erotica can actually be great reads, but it has to be done tastefully and not move into gritty, gross scenes that are only there for shock value. As for autobiographies, I have to be a fan of the person before the book for me to even consider reading it! Otherwise, definitely doesn’t hold my interest.
Happy Friday (et bon week-end!)

I agree with you on the erotica! Here is my FF: http://theonceandfuturelibrarian.blogspot.com/2012/01/follow-friday-4.html
I’m not sure if I’ve ever read any real erotica, but I doubt I’d be up for reviewing it.
Have a great weekend!

Thanks for stopping by! I tend to read autobiographies on occasion. It just depends on if I think it will be a good read.
