Manwhore, Book 2
Synopsis: Billionaire playboy? Check.
Ruthless businessman? Check.
Absolutely sinful? Check.Malcolm Saint was an assignment. A story. A beautiful, difficult man I was supposed to uncover for a racy exposé.
I intended to reveal him, his secrets, his lifestyle—not let him reveal me. But my head was overtaken by my heart and suddenly nothing could stop me from falling. I fell for him, and I fell hard.
Malcolm Saint is absolute Sin, and I’ve become a hopeless Sinner.
Now that the assignment is over, Saint wants something from me—something unexpected—and I want this wicked playboy’s heart. But how can I prove to the man who trusts no one that I’m worthy of becoming his plus one?
Review: I really loved the first volume of the series and in view of the cliffy at the end of the story, I was really looking forward to reading this second novel. Lots of questions turned on my mind: will Malcolm forgive her? Will she succeed in conquering him? Will her letter suffice? But now, when she shows up in his office after the debacle, the last thing she would have expected was a job offer … No, that was not really what she was waiting for.
It is true that we understand perfectly the two characters. Rachel is at fault for not revealing the truth to him and she is now suffering all the consequences. Yet she knows that she can not live without Saint, that he has become essential to her and she is ready to do anything to be forgiven if he still wants her. It really hurts to see the state in which our heroine is. Seeing that she is possibly one among many others now.
Saint is suspicious of her, we understand perfectly well that he was wounded, yet it is difficult to say what he really wants. No, you see he has not lost his mystery! They will thus reconnect little by little. It will not be so simple, but Rachel will do everything to make it work.
It was again a very good volume and this time no cliffy! Yes! But I admit that I am still very curious to read this third novel! A very nice surprise again.
Yay! Glad it was worth it after getting excited from the cliffie. Sounds like it does a good job of working through wrongs and creating an air of mystery with the hero .
Great review, Melliane!
Yes it was really well done! I loved it!
Definitely sounds fun!
Sounds good. But can not say I like that title
the story isn’t really linked to the cover and title
Oooh, this does sound like a fantastic read. You definitely have me curious about Malcolm now.
you should try!
Glad your so excited about this one, the no cliffhanger is def a bonus but it also sounds like it set up the next book nicely as well
definitely
It is good to know that there is no cliffie.
That sounds great but that title is someone else.
yeah…
I am glad you enjoyed this. Yay for no cliffhangers. Great review!
thanks!
Ooh, racy! I probably wouldn’t have given this a look because of the title though.
yeah I prefer the French ones because it looks closer to the genre. Here it looks erotica.
Glad you enjoyed this one. Yay! for no cliffie in this one. I hope you enjoy the third book just as much.
I always think it a sign of a good novel when readers are left wanting more. Here’s hoping you don’t have to wait too long for the next instalment.
Sounds like a good series. I hate it when a story ends on a huge cliffhanger, so I’m glad this one didn’t.
I had such a great time with these books, and I was happy that there was no cliffhanger in this one as well. But I knew book one did so I was mentally prepared for it which helped. Its awful when you have no idea going into it and expect a HEA and then its like WHAT??!!! hehe And book three is fun.
I completely agree!
Loving the title! Very cute and unique
I own these and should really try them. So happy you loved them
