Never Never, Book 2

Synopsis: “Never forget that I was your first real kiss. Never forget that you’ll be my last.
And never stop loving me between all of them.
Never stop, Charlie.
Never forget.”

Silas races against time as more truths unravel, while others twist tighter together. And now, the stakes are higher as Silas’ control slips and others begin to point fingers. Charlie is in trouble and he must be the one to bridge the chasm between their past and their present. Because somewhere between I love yous and Never Nevers and Never Agains, a truth they can’t imagine, beckons to be found.

“Where are you, Charlie?”

Review: Colleen Hoower and Tarryn Fisher present a second volume in the same line of the first one. By reading some reviews before starting this sequel, I quickly realized that the questions were only sharpened without any answer being given once again. Yet the story continues and the infernal circle reinitializes itself for our two characters. A life stolen and everything to relearn.

It is an astonishing and original format but as for the first book we remain on our hunger with an ending in the middle of a dialogue. Yes it stirs up curiosity and once again I look forward to the last volume. Some leads are launched, bringing us new questions but what is touching and which remains constant finally, are the feelings that Charlie and Silas have for each other. Through their writings, photos and others, they succeed each time to understand that the other is important.

Unlike the first volume, this second part focuses mainly on Silas, which was equally interesting I must admit. Still, Charlie is the one who must endure the situation the most and it was really sad to see what was going on for her.

I will not say more by letting you discover the history but I spent once again a great time. Fortunately the book is quite short because it is impossible to put it down before finishing it. All these adventures and secrets only exacerbate our curiosity! Once again, I am eager to be able to immerse myself in the next and last volume and to discover the answers to my questions.

Good to know that this one doesn’t answer all the questions from the first book. Sounds like it kept your interest and I like that it gave you more about Silas.

    Good review, Melliane!

I’ve never read a book by Hoover, which is odd. The originality of this one is pulling me in, but I do love having at least some answers.

Now this sounds like a book I could break my promise not to start any more books that were part of a series for.

I think the fact that the story is in parts would just drive me nuts! But I am glad that the read is so good, the characters themselves sound interesting. I can see how people would enjoy this kind of a format tho
