Review: I really enjoyed Firelight as it was for me a beautiful surprise. I was therefore very curious to get into Moonglow to learn more about our two new characters. Well I have to say the cover is so amazing that it’s sufficient to read the book. I think it’s even one of my favorite covers, and I’m sure nobody can tell otherwise. In the same time it’s true that it’s was a little difficult for me to leave Archer and Miranda. Indeed, this couple was very interesting and even if I enjoyed Ian and Daisy, I prefer our first characters. It’s not that I dislike the book, far from that, it’s a really great second novel and I confess I’m impatient to read the third to know what will happen.
We find Daisy, newly widowed, and Ian our beloved werewolf that we met in the first volume. Our young heroine will have to deal with a rogue shapeshifter who kills all the women who wear her perfume. Ian decides that it’s his duty to protect her and to kill this wolf who freely walks in the city. But everything will be turned upside down when some other troubles are added, with a new pack, new responsibilities and new powers.
This new couple is pleasant to follow; they get to know each other little by little despite Ian decides quite fast what he wants. Daisy on the other part is more cautious. We can only be impressive by her nature, she is vulnerable but it is also what gives her her strength. She’s been though a lot and she stays suspicious about the events around her, mainly her relationship with Ian. I was very surprised by Ian; by all the things he is capable to do, to help this young woman. We learn a lot of things about his past that we didn’t expect at first.
I wondered all along the book who the culprit could be and the reason of his acts. We learn it at the end of the story and I confess I’m still a little bit confused but the real motives… I would have loved to know more. About the person herself, I don’t think anyone could have thought about this culprit. I was totally surprised and the end was heartbreaking.
It was therefore a new investigation and a new couple very interesting to follow; I’m impatient to read the third book to know who will be featured.

  1. Lol I have been tempted to buy the book just for the amazing cover! I haven’t read the previous book, but it does sound interesting, so maybe I should add both books to my wishlist…
