Graveyard Queen, Book 5
Synopsis: I am a living ghost, a wanderer in search of my purpose and place…
I’m a cemetery restorer by trade, but my calling has evolved from that of ghost seer to death walker to detective of lost souls. I solve the riddles of the dead so the dead will leave me alone.
I’ve come to Seven Gates Cemetery nursing a broken heart, but peace is hard to come by…for the ghosts here and for me. When the body of a young woman is discovered in a caged grave, I know that I’ve been summoned for a reason. Only I can unmask her killer. I want to trust the detective assigned to the case for he is a ghost seer like me. But how can I put my faith in anyone when supernatural forces are manipulating my every thought? When reality is ever-changing? And when the one person I thought I could trust above all others has turned into a diabolical stranger?
Review: How to resist every new book by Amanda Stevens! Now that her first trilogy is finished, she starts another plot with our beloved Amelia and we remain eager for all the revelations that we can have.
We find Amelia currently restoring a new cemetery away from home and away from the man who broke her heart. But as always, this new contract will bring a lot of trouble when she finds a dead woman in a tomb closed by a cage. Worse, it seems that this murder follows some killing perpetuated many years ago and links several secret organizations that Amelia should be wary of. Without having the choice, our heroine will have to try to understand what is going on without really understanding the consequences.
Amelia will face her fears in this novel and will manage all the problems and dangers that come with that. The town where she works has a story that is really not easy and it’s true that we do not expect what is unveiled. Thus we find ourselves in a difficult and unhealthy atmosphere where many secrets are intertwined and yet to be discovered. It is easy to doubt about all the characters, trying to figure out who the culprit is and it is true that we remain in doubt until the end of the story. Of course, I’m sure you are wondering about Devlin and I have to say to that, it’s pretty hard to see what Amelia has to go through regarding the guy especially after all that happened between the two. But it’s always something complicated and I’m curious to really understand the situation.
You’ll understand, Amanda Stevens presents a new very good volume that takes us by the throat and where we wait for more!

I loved this one, so creepy and good. I totally agree about Devlin. I am so tired of their drama.
