Off-Campus, Book 3
Synopsis: He knows how to score, on and off the ice
Allie Hayes is in crisis mode. With graduation looming, she still doesn’t have the first clue about what she’s going to do after college. To make matters worse, she’s nursing a broken heart thanks to the end of her longtime relationship. Wild rebound sex is definitely not the solution to her problems, but gorgeous hockey star Dean Di-Laurentis is impossible to resist. Just once, though, because even if her future is uncertain, it sure as heck won’t include the king of one-night stands.
It’ll take more than flashy moves to win her over
Dean always gets what he wants. Girls, grades, girls, recognition, girls…he’s a ladies man, all right, and he’s yet to meet a woman who’s immune to his charms. Until Allie. For one night, the feisty blonde rocked his entire world—and now she wants to be friends? Nope. It’s not over until he says it’s over. Dean is in full-on pursuit, but when life-rocking changes strike, he starts to wonder if maybe it’s time to stop focusing on scoring…and shoot for love.
Review: I was eager to discover the story of Allie and Dean. I confess that I was surprised because I did not think we would see Allie without Sean and I was curious to understand all that.
It would seem that everything oppose Allie and Dean at first. The first one can only do serious relationships, which she counts on the tips of her fingers, while the second one does all the girls that he can find. But when one night Allie stays with Dean, she knows that she’s not going to sleep with him, that he’s not reliable and especially that she’s not like that and yet …
I admit that I liked to see Dean being put back in his place for once and to see that this time things are not so simple for him. It makes him think, it makes him evolve and it was nice to see him fight to make her succumb to his charm. In any case, it was also nice to see his joie de vivre, to see his way of doing as he does wants when he wants. Yet, we understand perfectly Allie’s mistrust. The young woman is much more posed but … how to resist to Dean? And then, of course, we also find the previous characters for our greatest pleasure!
Their story is pretty cute, sometimes clumsy. Dean is going to have to face up choices that will not necessarily be easy and Allie will have to think about what she wants to do next in her acting career. They are very cute together and I really enjoyed discovering their story. I hope that we will have the opportunity to see Dean’s sister again, because Dakota is just so great! I fell under her charm and freshness!
A very good sequel once again and I can only advise you to start the series! I can not wait to get into the 4th volume now! Yes, because this time it’s the turn of Tucker and Sabrina!
