Priest, Book 1
Synopsis: There are many rules a priest can’t break.
A priest cannot marry. A priest cannot abandon his flock. A priest cannot forsake his God.I’ve always been good at following rules.
Until she came.
My name is Tyler Anselm Bell. I’m twenty-nine years old. Six months ago, I broke my vow of celibacy on the altar of my own church, and God help me, I would do it again.
I am a priest and this is my confession.
Review: I have this novel for a long time but it took me a lot of motivation to finally start it. It’s not because the reviews were bad, no, but it’s not necessarily my style of romance. Eroticism mixed with religion does not necessarily attract me. But here I am finally and while I was expecting the worst, I found that the novel was pleasant to read. Yes, because the writing is fluid and the style of the author is well mastered.
You can guess with the synopsis that the story is about a priest who will break his vows to sleep with a young woman and we follow their relationship over time. Although everything was quite well done, some things made me a little uncomfortable like the use of holy oil as a lubricant or the intimate relationships on the altar.
It was an ok novel and I’m sure it will please fans of the genre but I must admit that this is not necessarily for me.
I can see why this wasn’t a great for you. It might not be for me either.
yeah….
I’m glad you could say that. It is hard to review a book which doesn’t connect with you.
I agree
I can completely understand why this one didn’t work for you.
Yeah, not sure about the priest angle
Yea, that would not sit well with me either. Well, hope the next one is so much better for you.
thanks
I can see how this could be an uncomfortable read! Especially using holy oil as lubricant…Since the writing was well done, maybe you’ll find another story by the same author that you will enjoy.
yeah it was a bit too much for me
I’ve seen the stories about priests slipping on their vows, but going so far as to use Holy Oil? Wow! Yeah, not for me, either.
It sounds decent and it is refreshing. Never heard of a story like this one
