Review: I never had the opportunity to read a novel about baseball, but as the author was none other than Sierra Dean, I had to try it! Having never been disappointed by her books, I was convinced it would be the same with this one too! And I am not mistaken, it was again a very good novel.

Baseball is not very developed in France and yet it is true that it is a very interesting sport. We can follow here Emmy, this young woman, daughter of a great player, who has been hired as a coach. This is not an easy job as few women get to have a job like this, and she hopes to prove to them that she is the best. However, she does not expect to fall for the star of the team, Lloyd Tucker. But succumbing would not be a good thing, whether for work or even for her actually boyfriend.

I really enjoyed getting to know this heroine. She is strong and tries to show everyone that her work is just as well as one of a man. And yet be surrounded by all the finest men is not easy, especially when one of them is Lloyd Tucker. This man has something that attracts her and I must say that the feeling is mutual. I enjoyed seeing them evolve around one another. Tucker tries to make her succumb and Emmy tries to keep her distance up, something that is however very difficult. This is a pretty romance, and we can appreciate the evolution of everyone’s feelings throughout the story. A cute couple in a very interesting environment to explore. I’m really curious to see what Sierra Dean reserves us for further novels and if we still have the opportunity to meet these two characters. But I hope in any case that we’ll discover more about Alex, the best friend of our star, present throughout the novel.

A very cute romance and we can read quickly!

Comme Tucker Lloyd regarde la fuite d’Emmy avec son bandana noué autour de son genou écorché, la vue est un changement agréable par rapport aux repérages du baseball. A trente-six ans, la queue de sa carrière scintille à l’horizon. S’il ne peut pas tirer quelque chose d’extraordinaire de sa casquette, la nouvelle récolte de recrues pourrait faire de cette saison sa dernière.

Avis : Je n’avais jamais eu l’occasion de lire sur le baseball, mais l’auteure n’étant autre que Sierra Dean, il fallait que je le tente ! N’ayant jamais été déçue par ses tomes, j’étais persuadée qu’il en serait de même avec celui-ci aussi ! Et je ne me suis pas trompée, c’était à nouveau un très bon roman que l’auteure nous présente ici.

Le baseball n’est pas un sport très développé en France et pourtant c’est vrai que c’est un sport des plus intéressants. On peut ainsi suivre ici Emmy, cette jeune femme, fille d’un grand joueur, qui vient d’être embauchée en tant qu’entraineur. Ce n’est pas un travail facile et peu de femmes arrivent à avoir un poste tel que celui-ci, aussi elle compte bien leur prouver qu’elle est la meilleure. Elle ne s’attend cependant pas à tomber pour la star étoile qu’elle entraine, Tucker Lloyd. Mais succomber ne serait pas une bonne chose, que ce soit pour son travail ou même pour son histoire avec son petit ami.

J’ai vraiment beaucoup aimé découvrir cette héroïne. Elle est forte et essaie de montrer à tout le monde que son travail vaut tout aussi bien celui d’un homme. Et pourtant être entourée d’hommes tous plus beaux les uns que les autres n’est pas facile, surtout quand l’un deux est Tucker Lloyd. Cet homme a quelque chose qui l’attire et il faut dire que c’est réciproque. J’ai beaucoup apprécié les voir tourner autour l’un de l’autre. Tucker essayant de la faire flancher et Emmy essayant de garder ses distances au maximum, chose qui pourtant est très difficile. C’est une très jolie romance et on ne peut qu’apprécier l’évolution des sentiments de chacun tout au long de l’histoire. Un joli couple dans un environnement très intéressant à découvrir. Je suis vraiment curieuse de voir ce que Sierra Dean nous réserve pour la suite des romans et si nous aurons encore l’occasion de rencontrer ces deux personnages. Mais j’espère en tout cas que nous en découvrirons plus au sujet d’Alex, le meilleur ami de notre star, présent tout au long du roman.

Une romance très mignonne à découvrir et qui se lit très rapidement !
