Review : I was looking forward this third book for a little while. And I’m really not disappointed ! It was a really great novel, full of actions, intrigue and feelings, everything we want in a book. It’s a pleasure to meet all the characters from the others two books and so we follow a new adventure of Charlie Madigan.
From the beginning, I was caught in the story, and I couldn’t put it down until the end, I was too curious to know everything ! The frenetic rhythm drives us in a new quest where Charlie wants to find a cure for her sister.
Indeed, due to the suicides of a lot of Ash addicts, Charlie devotes herself to help Bryn. She is very determined to save her relatives and protect them from the world, but it’s not often possible. She has to team up with the Sylph, some creatures that have a funny meaning when it’s about gift, but they’re very intriguing. I wonder if we would see them in the sequel.
In this book, we can only fall in love with Hank, there are no other choice ! He is appealing and devoted to Charlie. We can finally perceive the link between the two of them and it’s very cute. Our heroine try to change her feelings, afraid about the future and Hank but in vain. We’re very happy when she realizes this fact.
I was glad to know the Hank’s story, our siren. He was so secret, it was really great to finally know a little more about him. His life was unique, despite of the fact it was very sad too. But I was very surprised to know how he has ended up here. Then, what about the hellhound? I really want to have one at home.
The end was surprising and finishes with a real cliffhanger. Terrible ! I want the sequel now to know how Charlie will handle everything !
