Guest Post: Darynda Jones (Charley Davidson series)

We would like to thank Darynda Jones who accepted to write a little something to share her books with our readers. Indeed, her french rights had been sold to Milady/Bragelonne which is an amazing news.

Thank you so much for having me! I have to say, I was thrilled when the first three in the Charley Davidson series sold to Milady/Bragelonne in France. What an honor. While I don’t have a release date yet, I am hoping they come out soon. And I really think I should do some kind of book tour, too. You know, to promote. 🙂
Charlotte “Charley” Davidson is a private investigator who just happened to be born the grim reaper. Because of her supernatural status, she is often called upon to solve cases for both the living and the dead. It makes for an interesting day. She is shoved into one messy situation after another and she handles it with more sass and bravado than she probably has a right to.

In the meantime, she is dealing with intensely hot dreams about an entity who has been following her all her life. The entity seems vaguely familiar, and in book one of the series, FIRST GRAVE ON THE RIGHT, Charley sets out to figure out exactly what, or who, the entity is. But she soon finds out he is surrounded by danger and a darkness that she never dreamed really existed. Falling in love with him would be a mistake, but Charley never claimed to be the most sensible girl in designer underwear.

I hope you like the series as much as I enjoy writing it! Thank you again for having me.

  1. Darynda, waving from Margie’s blog!

Your books have been on my TBR pile, bought them at Christmas, put them in daughter’s stocking, but, she has to let me read them when she’s finished. (Little does she know I read over half of First Grave on the Right without creasing the spine. Tres difficile.)

  2. Oh my gosh, I’m so in love with the premise for these books!! Mysteries and grim reapers are two of my biggest obsessions at the moment, so I love that they’re combined together in this series! 🙂 Especially with the way you described Charlotte, because fierce and sassy heroines are my favourite!

Awesome guest post, Darynda! Thanks so much for stopping by Melliane & Inessa’s blog! I really want to read your books now! 🙂
