October “Toby” Daye is finally doing all right. She’s settling into her new role as the Countess of Goldengreen; she’s actually dating again; she’s even agreed to take on Quentin as her official squire. Life is looking up all around—and that inevitably means it’s time for things to take a turn for the worse.
Someone has kidnapped the sons of Duchess Dianda Lorden, regent of the Undersea Duchy of Saltmist. To prevent a war between land and sea, Toby must not only find the missing boys, but also prove that the Queen of the Mists was not behind their abduction. She’ll need all her tricks and the help of all her allies if she wants to make it through this in one piece.
Toby’s search will take her from the streets of San Francisco to the lands beneath the waves, and her deadline is firm: she must find the boys in three days’ time, or all of the Mists will pay the price. But someone is determined to stop her—and whoever it is isn’t playing by Oberon’s Laws…
As the battle grows more and more personal, one thing is chillingly clear. When Faerie goes to war, not everyone will walk away.

October “Toby” Daye se porte finalement  bien. Elle s’adapte à son nouveau rôle de Comtesse de Goldengreen ; elle participe de nouveau à des rencards ; elle a même accepté de prendre Quentin en tant qu’écuyer officiel. La vie avance – et cela veut donc dire qu’il est temps que tout empire.
Quelqu’un a kidnappé les fils de la Duchesse Diana Lorden, régente du Duché sous l’eau de Saltmist. Pour empêcher la guerre entre la mer et la terre, Toby doit non seulement retrouver les enfants disparus mais aussi prouver que la Reine des Brumes n’est pas derrière tout ça. Elle aura besoin de toutes ses astuces et de l’aide de tous ses alliés si elle veut revenir en un seul morceau.
La quête de Toby va la mener des rues de San Francisco aux landes sous les vagues et son échéance arrive à grands pas : elle doit retrouver les garçons en trois jours, ou tous les habitants des ombres en paieront le prix. Mais quelqu’un est déterminé à l’arrêter – et qui qu’il soit n’est pas prêt à jouer selon les lois d’Oberon.
Tandis que la bataille devient de plus en plus personnelle, une seule chose est claire. Quand la Faerie est aux portes de la guerre, certains ne fuiront pas.

      j’avais eu un peu de mal avec le premier bien que je l’ai beaucoup apprécié mais chaque tome est mieux que le précédent et j’adore juste toute la série. probleme du coup je les achete tous à la suite lol.

    I’ve never heard of this book but it sounds really great! And that French (I think it’s French. Please tell me it’s French!) summary is SOO cool! I went to Paris one time over spring break and I couldn’t understand anything, even though I took French for—what?—two and a half months. 😉 But the teacher just cried all the time and gave us the answers, so that didn’t work out too well.
