Top Ten Reasons To Be An Author
- I don’t have “voices in my head”—I have “flashes of inspiration”
- It sure beats waiting tables. Or answering phones. Or making sales calls. It actually beats just about anything really.
- My work uniform involves comfy sweatpants
- I’m never going to another Monday Morning Status Meeting ever again
- I surf the internet for hot men all day and claim it’s plotting
- I can eat good chocolate when I get good reviews.
- I can eat REALLY good chocolate when I get lousy reviews
- I’ve gotten to meet some great readers who love the people who live in my head almost as much as I do.
- Sometimes I meet people who love them more.
- I’m being paid to do the thing I love the most.

Speak of the Devil, Book 1
Synopsis: Families can be hell.
Being the youngest daughter of the Devil isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. The days of teenage rebellion and vows of chastity made just to tick off her father are over, and now all Faith Bettincourt wants is a nice, quiet life. Unfortunately, thanks to the unexpected arrival of her demonically-downsized sister, a ditzy succubus roommate, and dear old Dad himself, Faith’s plans for a relaxing vacation spent watching reruns go up in flames.
Now it’s all Faith can do to keep the family reunion from Hell (literally) under wraps, and the angellically-inclined hottie across the hall from realizing there’s something weird about his neighbor. And, thankfully, it’s working. Until an angelic stalker shows up in a bid to steal her powers and take over the world.
Forget watching reruns. With the way things are going, Faith will need the luck of the Devil just to survive until Monday.

Maja (The Nocturnal Library)
A lot of authors point out their ‘work uniforms’ (i.e. sweatpants or PJs) as an added benefit and i can totally get behind that. That pretty much sounds awesome to me too. 🙂
