Review: I had a good time with the first and second volume and I think that the author had managed to bring perfectly many lovely ideas in his books. It’s always very interesting to see the characters from fairy tales like princesses, queen, princes, goblins and fairy godfather that we all know, in our world today.

Marissa does not really have any luck and each volume proves it perfectly. Once again, our heroine will have to face many obstacles. Oh yes, from her birthday that brings a lot of disasters, Isolde who appears much faster than expected and who is determined to take M. as her servant whatever she wants it or not. In addition, some queen and her son are back in history to destroy the life of our agent. A lot of stuff, is not it? And it is far from over because Marissa is going to have to make many choices whose consequences will likely be very difficult.

Our heroine has evolved considerably since the first novel, but I confess that I did not expect to see so many things here. We discover many revelations which we certainly can not expect and I was surprised more than once I confess. I’m not going to go into the details of the novel as it would be easy to tell you everything taking place and it is not really the goal, but we are left in a race against time where we hope everything will end well.

I do not know if this is the last volume of the series, I admit, but we have a good conclusion there and I had a great time with the whole story. As always we find the characters that we have learned to discover in the novels. Ari and her change into a real witch, the meeting with the famous Isolde, Liam and his dragon status or Grimm and the secrets he hides from everyone.

So yes I had once again a great time with this third installment and I would recommend the series if you want something a little different.

Cette année, sa malchance annuelle inclue une armée de gobelins envahisseurs, la résurrection de deux ennemis vengeurs de l’enfer, et le retour de la Reine Noire, la sorcière maléfique dont le règne de la terreur hante encore le Royaume et qui a revendiqué Marissa comme sa servante.

Comme les amis de Marissa essaient de la sauver des griffes de la reine noire, Marissa, elle, se bat pour mettre fin à une guerre acharnée qui a commencé avant sa naissance. Mais sa quête pour la paix est sur le point de faire éclater des vérités qui dérangent à propos de son propre passé – certaines qui pourraient lui coûter le happy ending dont elle a toujours rêvé …

Avis : J’avais passé un bon moment avec le premier et le second tome et je trouve que l’auteur parvient parfaitement à amener de très jolies idées dans ses livres. C’est toujours très intéressant de voir les personnages de contes de fées, princesses, reine, princes, gobelins et parrain la bonne fée que nous connaissons tous dans notre monde actuel.

Marissa n’a pas vraiment de chance et chaque volume nous le prouve parfaitement d’ailleurs. Une fois de plus, notre héroïne va devoir faire face à un grand nombre d’obstacles. Oh oui, entre son anniversaire qui amène un grand nombre de catastrophes, Isolde qui apparait bien plus vite que prévu et qui est décidée à prendre M. comme servante qu’elle le désire ou pas. En plus de cela, une certaine reine et son fils sont de retour pour détruire la vie de notre agent. Un grand nombre de choses n’est-ce pas ? Et c’est loin d’être fini car Marissa va devoir faire des choix dont les conséquences ne pourront qu’être très difficiles.

Notre héroïne a beaucoup évolué depuis le premier roman mais j’avoue que je ne m’attendais pas à voir autant de choses ici. On découvre de nombreuses révélations auxquelles on ne peut certainement pas s’attendre et j’ai été surprise plus d’une fois je l’avoue. Je ne vais pas trop rentrer dans les détails du roman car il serait très facile de vous raconter tout ce qu’il se déroule et ce n’est pas vraiment le but mais on se retrouve dans une course contre la montre dont on espère que tout se terminera bien.

Je ne sais pas si ce tome est le dernier de la série, je l’avoue, mais on retrouve une jolie fin ici et j’ai passé un très bon moment avec toute l’histoire. On retrouve comme toujours les personnages que l’on a appris à découvrir au cours des romans. Ari et son changement en sorcière, la rencontre avec la très connue Isolde, Liam et son statut de dragon ou encore Grimm et les secrets qu’il cache à tout le monde.

Alors oui encore un très bon moment avec ce troisième volet et je vous conseille la série si vous voulez quelque chose d’un peu différent.

Marissa is due for a little happily ever after. After all, she did kill the evil Fairy Godmother, end a war, and snag a sweet promotion within the Fairy Godfather’s magical-problem-solving Agency. But between maintaining a relationship with someone whose amorous advances can cause third-degree burns, dealing with a killer-poodle infestation, and helping her best friend, Princess Ari, learn to wield spells more powerful than curing a hangover, she’s not getting as much peace and quiet as she hoped.

When an enemy from her past appears to exact a terrible revenge, Marissa’s life goes from hectic to hell on earth. With Grimm inexplicably gone and Ari trapped by a sleeping spell, Marissa decides to fight fire with hellfire—and accidentally begins a countdown to the apocalypse.

With the end of days extremely nigh, Marissa will have to master royal politics, demonic law, and biblical plagues in a hurry—because even the end of the world can’t keep the Agency from opening for business…

Review: I really liked the first volume of this series and I admit that I was very excited to be able to immerse myself in the following novel to discover some new adventures of our beloved Marissa. I must say that she went through many things in the previous volume. I was a little scared at first I admit, because I could not see where the author wanted to take us, I could not understand if we had a real plot or if it was just the addition of small events. But after several chapters, we finally understand what he is trying to do and he plunges us again with a great pleasure in the history, following our heroine.

Marissa is now in a relationship with her beloved dragon, Liam. Yet all is not rosy and our young officer still a little afraid of getting pregnant and so passing the curse of her companion to their children. So when a job arises, promising to give enough power to lift the enchantment, Liam is determined to accept it and he makes it clear that it is important to leave Marissa a moment to finally have a normal relationship. Alas, him gone, troubles are only adding for our heroine. She finds herself having to manage a new character (if it was just that), she ends up signing a pact with a demon without even meaning to. And what do you think he wants? Nothing more than having Marissa leading the Apocalypse on earth. In addition, her contract prevents her to do the contrary; she will therefore have to find a lot of tricks to try to circumvent all that is happening. Besides, she won’t have anyone to help her in this context, as Grimm is gone, Ari plays Princess Sleeping Beauty and a former enemy appears trying to remove all of them. So yes Marissa will really have many things to do and being alone, nothing will be really easy for her. Yet she is determined to find a solution for all of them.

As I said even if it took me a little time to get into the story, once it was done I really got carried away by all with pleasure. We learn some revelations in the history saddening us for some. But anyway, we’re affected by the relationship between Liam and Marissa, a beautiful story that continues despite the continuing obstacles. As we discover more about Grimm and the mark of our agent. I confess that I did not expect at all this and I was very surprised to understand what was exactly going on. New characters appear as I said and I think some will become dominant. And then of course we have our beloved Marissa, her Apocalypse was really great, I loved her ideas as I loved the horsemen who come to her. A slight preference for Death elsewhere but I’ll let you find out about them. Anyway this story holds many things and I was very pleased to read the whole thing. The end also opens many new possibilities and I am impatient and curious to see what will happen to our heroine with this situation out of the ordinary.

So yes, it was a new and very good novel that the author presents here and I’ll wait until the third to learn more.

Quand un ennemi de son passé semble exiger une terrible vengeance, la vie de Marissa va de l’agitation à l’enfer sur terre. Avec Grimm inexplicablement disparu et Ari piégée par un sort de sommeil, Marissa décide de combattre le feu par l’enfer et commence le compte à rebours de l’apocalypse accidentellement.

Avec la fin des jours très proche, Marissa devra maîtriser la politique royale, le droit démoniaque, et fléaux bibliques pressés – car même la fin du monde ne peut pas empêcher l’Agence d’ouvrir pour les affaires …

Avis : J’avais beaucoup aimé le premier tome de cette série et j’avoue que j’étais très impatiente de pouvoir me plonger dans la suite et découvrir les nouvelles aventures de notre chère Marissa. Il faut dire qu’elle en avait vu de toutes les couleurs dans le tome précédent. J’ai eu un peu peur au départ je l’avoue, parce que je n’arrivais pas à voir où l’auteur voulait nous emmener, je ne parvenais pas à comprendre sur quoi l’intrigue se basait ou si ce n’était qu’un ajout de petits événements. Mais après plusieurs chapitres, on comprend finalement ce qu’il essaie de faire et on replonge avec grand plaisir dans l’histoire, en suivant notre héroïne.

Marissa est maintenant en couple avec son cher et tendre dragon, Liam. Pourtant tout n’est pas rose et notre jeune agent a tout de même un peu peur de tomber enceinte et de faire passer la malédiction de son compagnon à leurs enfants. Aussi quand un travail se présente, promettant de donner assez de puissance pour lever cet envoutement, Liam est bien décidé à accepter et à faire comprendre à Marissa qu’il est important qu’il la quitte un moment pour enfin avoir une relation normale. Hélas, lui parti, les ennuis ne font que s’accumuler pour notre héroïne. Elle se retrouve à devoir gérer un nouveau personnage (si encore ce n’était que ça), mais elle se retrouve à signer un pacte avec un démon sans même le vouloir. Et que pensez-vous que celui-ci désire ? Rien de plus que Marissa amène l’apocalypse sur terre. De plus, son contrat l’empêche d’agir autrement, il lui faudra donc trouver un tas d’astuces pour essayer de contourner tout ce qu’il se passe. D’ailleurs elle n’aura l’aide de personne dans ce contexte, car Grimm a disparu, Ari se la joue princesse au bois dormant et un ancien ennemi apparait essayant de tous les supprimer. Donc oui Marissa aura vraiment de quoi faire et étant seule, rien ne sera vraiment facile. Pourtant, elle est bien décidée à aider tout le monde.

Comme je le disais même si j’ai mis un peu de temps à rentrer dans l’histoire, une fois que ça a été fait je me suis vraiment laissé emporter par le tout avec plaisir. Nous apprenons quelques révélations au cours de l’histoire nous attristant pour certaines. Mais quoi qu’il en soit, on reste touché par la relation qui existe entre Liam et Marissa, une très jolie histoire qui continue malgré les obstacles incessants. On en découvre aussi plus sur Grimm et sur la marque que possède notre agent. J’avoue que je ne m’attendais pas du tout à tout cela et j’ai été très surprise de comprendre ce qu’il se passait exactement. De nouveaux personnages apparaissent comme je le disais et je pense que certains vont devenir prépondérants. Et puis bien sûr il y a Marissa que j’ai adoré ici, son apocalypse était vraiment géniale, j’ai adoré ses idées comme j’ai adoré les cavaliers qui se présentent tour à tour à elle. Une petite préférence pour la Mort d’ailleurs mais je vous laisse le découvrir. En tout cas cette histoire réserve bien des choses et j’ai été très contente de lire le tout. La fin ouvre aussi un grand nombre de nouvelles possibilités et je suis impatiente et curieuse de voir comment notre héroïne va arriver à se sortir de cette situation hors du commun.

Donc oui, c’était un nouveau très bon roman que l’auteur nous présente ici et je vais attendre le troisième pour en apprendre plus.

Review: I love all the stories related to tales, or even faes and fairies, so when I saw the summary I knew it was perfect for me. Also, have you seen this cover? I think that right now many novels come out with beautiful illustrations and it’s true that I succumb every time! So once again, I fell for this new one.

Marissa has not had an easy life so far. Young, her parents gave up on her so that her sister could live normally, being sick at birth. In return, she must now work for Grimm and do whatever he asks for. And so she has worked for years after darkened her memories about her parents. But what exactly is this agency? Grimm is able to make your wishes come true against a specific payment. The latest? Marissa must help a princess to make succumb a prince. To do that she charms him, let him fall in love with her and leaves him thereafter for the princess, so she can come to comfort him. But then, nothing goes as planned and our young heroine could well be taken at her own game by falling herself in love with the young man. In addition, a war is brewing, the sealed for the world of fae is gone and they will do anything to get it back, no matter how many people they have to kill for it. Anything else? Oh yes, because a new fairy godmother appears, taking a dislike in Marissa and she determined to make her pay for every insult she did.

I enjoyed discovering this heroine with a fiery temperament but nevertheless remains very fragile in all circumstances. It hurts my heart to see the young woman succumbing to Liam, knowing that she can not keep him to herself but all this is just the beginning of something much bigger. She does not hesitate to take action, trying to do her best and after following the orders so far, she wants to manage her own decisions. She will discover throughout the story that having friends can change her monotonous life and that she is actually very good at getting into catastrophic situations.

During the story, we learn more about the young woman and her past. Furthermore we discover that sometimes wishes that we want are not necessarily what will make us happy. Through it, we also meet Ari, a Princess that Marissa will have to protect and despite her naivety, she starts to have a place in our heart. She thirsts for freedom, wants to find out what she can do in this new world and help Marissa and following her seems to please her a lot. There is of course the false prince, Liam, whose relationship with the young woman touches us and we always hope that a good relationship can be formed between the two.

It was a very good first novel that poses a lot of things and I’m looking forward to read more now to learn more at the same time about the world that the author has created. On top of that, many stories are developing, finally binding perfectly over the chapters. Did I forget to mention the blessings and curses that the young woman has received and that exist in the form of little people with a strong nature? Because we can only love them.

In any case I had a great time I am curious to read more!
